What a fascinating social experiment this is turning out to be.
Who people are when they think no one of consequence is watching them speaks volumes.
For the ethical, reasonable people who are here to actually engage with other people in the lifestyle: happy Friday.
I know there are plenty of you out there and that this, like everything else, is a numbers game.
My block list is already the size of a small village though. |

A small village that I'm not in yet, I'll take that as a win!

I get clumsy-to-curt "Wanna meet?" and "Wanna fuck?" messages from men who have at least read my profile as far as the word "bisexual". But there's been nothing so ugly that I would want to block someone. |

For the record, I KNOW that there people of no consequence reading the forums.
No consequence to me, no consequence to anybody in my family, or any friend, workmate or acquaintance I have ever had.

I could easily see "social experiment" as "I'll do this different thing and see what happens" rather than "I think I'm important" |

That’s how I see it almost daily.
Consciously trying something out to see the results is an experiment, social or otherwise.
People getting judgemental about the terminology is quite amusing |

Same. Fab is an interesting view into a cross section of society and how they interact when covered by the relative veil of anonymity that the internet affords.
And as you expect, there is a wide variety of responses and messages ranging from polite, to the point and respectable to outright disturbing.
Happy to say the majority are the former though! |

Welcome to the forum OP.
If you really truly wholeheartedly wish to fit in, just make sure you read the Fora Lexicon beforehand.
Here 'we' like to say "your" when we mean "you're"; "complement" when we mean "compliment"; "peek" when we mean "pique"; "hotel meats" when we mean "hotel meets"; et al.
Other than it's all gøød. |

I have to see it that way, as a social experiment. Cause though I won’t elaborate, some people have already tried some really dodgy things.
And yes I do know I can change the settings. And sometimes I do change them so I can stop all messages. |

It sure can be a peculiar journey, wading through dross and swamp matter to find a nice friendly penis with a face.
So many of us think and feel the same as you've stated in your profile and here.
Also sounds like you may have read some Jim Butcher judging by your status "don’t mistake my kindness for weakness.", though it has been used by lots of folks.
Good luck and enjoy your journey. Excellent profile by the way. |

"Welcome, that is a good test too. I also think that if all the sexes did this experiment when joining, the result would differ greatly between them with women comming on top "

"What a fascinating social experiment this is turning out to be.
Who people are when they think no one of consequence is watching them speaks volumes.
For the ethical, reasonable people who are here to actually engage with other people in the lifestyle: happy Friday.
I know there are plenty of you out there and that this, like everything else, is a numbers game.
My block list is already the size of a small village though."
So what we saying Scotby or Longtown |

Fk me that’s an amazing story!
Hold into that list until the next jubilee and you’ll be eligible for city status.
You’re quite right though. This place is a shit show - only rivalled by Mos Eisley and episodes of Shameless.
I’m sure we’ll all buck up our ideas now that we’ve had a stern word from
Someone of consequence!

"Did you have any expectations when you joined?
I suppose I expected more swingers than single men looking for single women, was that totally naive of me?"
not at all. ThatMs what we though years ago when we joined. And for better or worse it has not slid further and further to being a dating site for singles who want to ‘swing’ until they meet their soulmate. But whatever. There’s still
Some banter and it is a handy platform to keep in Touch with people whom you’ve met at a club.
All the best |

Oh, the banter on these forums is great. And I’m looking forward to making all kinds of new friends. Eventually expect to hit some clubs too. |

I think there’s lots of interesting things about fab and the ways we see people interact. Unsurprising people are different when they’re not being watched. I also think the forum is quite interesting too because of the ways it takes us away from our usual social media echo chambers. I actually have found (and accept this is affected by my gender) that the forums are where people say things that I’d block them for. |

"Welcome to the madhouse! You're very brave to show your face as your profile pic. Hope you have fun on here x"
Thanks! I am having fun.
That’s just my personality.for me it’s kinda, may as well show my face cause I already walk around unapologetically with a shaved head in a northern town… and I’ve actually been recognised on here by locals more than once! (Though I think they should’ve had the common sense not to write to me here about it…oh, well.)
I guess I just figure, in for a penny in for a pound. People are going to see my face in the clubs. On social media. Etc. but I totally understand why most people don’t have profile pix like mine. |
