Have you ever left fab?

You’ve done the profile hiding, sticking to forums, making your profile basic, all the things to avoid leaving when you know you really should….

How long after you left did you return?

I have left twice before.

Sometimes I can be impulsive but normally I just hit overload and need a time out.

If I hide it then the temptation is to look.

Yeah loads of times. Never regretted it. I always knew I’d probably come back. Once I’ve had enough I’ve had enough. Never been bothered about losing veris so I just go every now and then.

I’ve left loads of times, only twice as Dan though. Most of my other incarnations only ever lasted a couple of weeks though, flying visits when I was bored!

I left for 4/5 months.

Realised after breaking contact with someone that it was their constant negativity about Fab that was getting me down as opposed to Fab itself getting me down. Yep

Left just as the pandemic hit, didn't see the point in staying when I was still being bombarded with messages to meet.

Back now hoping to find someone more long term.

Yeah that’s the problem if you go you lose them. I prefer to go though. Then just come back when I want to. I hide a lot too but that’s coz I can’t be arsed with messages

As a singleton I left a few times. One of those I posted in the forums so people who wanted to speak still a) knew I'd gone and b) could get another way of contacting me. I was gone a good while before I ventured back. Didn't miss it. Other times I left because I just wanted to and gave no warning. Usually impulsive. Couldn't give a monkeys what anyone thinks of that.

As a couple, we've not left at all. We don't always look at fabs though.

Yeah but when you decide to go you GO! And you don’t return for months until you’re ready to come back.

Some just do it in a fit of anger/jealousy/rage/hate/pissed off …..

Exactly. I have left 3 or 4 times. Never announce my departure or my arrival back. Nothing dramatic about it. I just don't need fab in my life at those times.

I deleted my old couples profile when we split many years ago, and my original single profile when I wanted to avoid a nutjack. Now I just hide my profile when I'm fed up with it, mainly because I couldn't be arsed setting a new profile up if I decided to come back, and partly because I like my username and wouldn't want anyone to steal it.

I have had a few profiles over the years, I tend to leave when I’m bored with fab rather than hide my profile because I always assume I’ll never be back.

I’m not troubled by losing verifications, they aren’t so important to me.

Local to me is a woman who joined Fab for the 6th time om Monday of this week, she left on the Tuesday, rejoined on the Wednesday and has left again today, all in the space of 5 weeks.

This is my 4th profile since joining 5 years ago. I deleted the first due to an extremely bad experience on my first meet but joined again about 6 months later. That only lasted a couple of months and I left again because it wasn't for me.

Came back a year later and that profile was well verified and lasted 18 months but I hid it and didn't log in for almost a year because of some normal fab drama. Within weeks of coming back I deleted it and lost the 20+ veries.

Half of those had already left the site and the others were all social veries from people I hadn't spoken to since meeting so it was no great loss.

This profile has the longest life span so far and I've no plans to leave or hide.
