"Natural or nurturing mothers? What if the mother isn't in the picture?
LvM" if guess nurture. Totally can see a mum with a thirtst for learning passing that on, so would but correlation here. |

Probably my spectrum traits, knowledge of history and culture off my mum. But my raw intelligence, humanity and a lot of my early wisdom from my dad. He to this day will probably be the most intelligent man I've known (although being intelligent clearly doesn't bring financial wealth, especially depending to what end you dedicate your life). Although he also gave me my dyslexia, so swings and roundabouts I suppose. |

"And penis size is through mother and not father which I find odd
So is male pattern baldness "
Those with small penises and bald heads must be fuming with their mothers |

"We generally inherit traits from both parents. I don't see why intelligence should always come from the woman?
The ability to learn I'm assuming, not what you've learnt. "
Intelligence is much more than the ability to learn though? |

I was understanding that they are talking about ability to learn. Maybe it's about women being the main influence on babies where education is concerned. |

Probably read it somewhere.
There's scientists all over the world trying to figure out our brains and genetics.

It'll be interesting to see if that changes as men have become more proactive in childrearing over generations |

That would depend on how the dads' parent. My ex would happily take my kids outdoors but never picked up a book or played with them on the floor with toys etc. I taught them all to read and write before they started school, as did my mum with us.

I would say no, I hope it is true because my son was a straight A* student through School and Uni but I fear he has not inherited my brain cells or lack of
I did crave curry sauce and chippy chips while pregnant so it must be absolutely that

Yes, it'll depend on individual dads, but the trends seem to be towards more involved fathers.
(My mum was way more involved, but I can't say my dad neglected my intellect) |

Absolutely 100 percent correct. My eldest once asked me when she was about 14 if you could get food poisoning from raw toast...I kid you not.
Just the other day she said to me(she's 21 now) "Dad, we should have 2 bum holes"!!.."what"? " well we have two intestine and only one bum hole...what's that's all about"??.

Think there maybe an element of truth in this...!
Something to do with “mitochondrial” genome which is supposed to be the powerhouse of the cell that is inherited exclusively from the mother.

"Probably both parents"
Got to be this.
Traits and hereditary conditions from both, but intelligence is not guaranteed! Nurture can make the best of a mediocre mind but the raw brainpower is either there or not. And can come from either parent surely!
My own mother whilst lovely is no rocket scientist - father was a highly intelligent over achiever with multiple degrees. Mrs is middle of the road intelligence - kids are both brighter but also get their spectrum baggage from me.
Tis all a fucked up lucky dip soup
Mix. Roll the dice and saddle up!

"Am I the only one thinking the OP is having a laugh and/or he doesn't like his mother?
If you've got no idea what I'm talking about read the thread title again..."
I got it. You can't blame your mum for your poor spelling OP. Only dyslexia or school. Unless you were home educated, then it is always Daddys fault, trust me. |

Where do I find my penis?
Your clit we all start out female in the womb"
I was shocked to discover other day males can lactate. |
