"Skol (my dad drank it)"

Now there's a blast from the past. I'm just about old enough to remember the TV ads with "Hagar the Horrible" singing "Skol, Skol, Skol, Skol" in them.

Regular Skol was very weak but when chilled was like a (not unpleasant) "strong shandy".

On the other hand, Skol Super was fucking vile stuff. Over 9% ABV and it tasted like what I'd imagine a mix of petrol, golden syrup and rust would taste like. I'm pretty sure only hardened alcoholics actually enjoyed drinking it.

Flatliner - double sambuca and double tequila

Bomber - Double Baileys and single brandy on ice

Showing my age here but do they still do the slushy cocktails like "Sex On The Beach" and "Screaming Orgasms" etc??? Oh what fun we had ordering those! lol

"Dubbonet , used to love it with butter lemon

I used to love it with ice and soda water but I've not seen it anywhere for years.

Beach nights in Tunisia with dubonet.

The Queens favourite drink apparently was dubonet and gin and something "

I didn’t know that.

Tried to buy some at Christmas but couldn’t find it anywhere

"Pernod & black"

I order these. It's funny, I always have to explain what it is, usually having to point at the bottle of Pernod and saying "that there" then explaining that it's just a little bit of blackcurrant

2 parts dubonet, 1 part dry gin, ice and lemon slices into the shaker, strain into glass add ice cubes and garnish with lemon.

I'm only saying was because I'm sure she doesn't have one in the morning anymore... Maybe she does.

Eitherway it's still worth an outbreak of blatant royalism
