Not necessarily you can be bailed before sentencing to sort your life out before going down, depending on flight risk and other factors. |

Because they don't assume you'll be found guilty. CPS have to compile a pre sentence report thst has victim impact and loads of other stuff, then you go back to get sentenced.
You can be bailed or remanded in custody. Some people who know they are going down prefer remand as it gets taken off your sentence as time already served.
