Is this unfair on me

Just got an expletive riddled message from a lady I'd previously met a few years ago on a previous profile. We had a lovely play date but overall, I wasn't her type for any longevity and I accepted and respected her choice not to meet again.

Forward on a few years.

People frequently come and go from fab creating new accounts as they do so. The same lady contacted me again initially tonight. I had done absolutely nothing to encourage her renewed contact eg. by winking or fabbing her pics. I have had a few accounts in the interim of our original meet and if we ever had crossed paths again, been immediately honest about who I was and that we'd met before so it was clear from the get go.

However, when I told her this tonight, I got an aggressive response and told I should have blocked her after creating my now current profile so she couldn't of been able to contact me. As I said, I've done nothing to instigate her interest in me and was instantly forthcoming that she knows me. No attempt was ever made to trick or pull the wool over her eyes to dupe her into believing I was someone she hadn't met or conversed with previously. I feel like shit now that I've upset her, but at the same time angry because I've done nothing out of order.

Bonkers. You’ve done nothing wrong. Maybe she’s having a bad day because that was disproportionate.

La la land

You can't be expected to look out for people you've met if they rejoin. You told her sharpish once you started talking. So I don't see what you've done wrong personally

Sounds like she feels like a bit of a tit and reacted badly to it. Best avoided really.

Looney tunes music is playing in my head as I read this…

Deffo her problem not you. No matter what mood she is in she shouldn’t have taken her own frustrations out on you, that’s not fair.

Sorry buddy

Hope you've blocked her now?

I don't think you should worry you've done anything wrong. A guy messaged me who I have met previously through different means and I said a kind thanks but no thanks, been there, done that, don't want a repeat and then blocked him.

Try not to put any more thought into it.

You've done nothing wrong at all. Her behavior though was way out of line and unreasonable.

Thank you everyone so far. I'm telling it truthfully. I know you only have my side to go by, but that's sincerely what just happened. I won't lie, I like the lady, but I respected I wasn't for her sexually and made no attempt to rekindle. Ducks back policy required for fab, deep breath, forgive, forget and Fab on.

She was out of order especially if you told her quickly who you were. Block her and forget about her.

I like to do my own fishing

Although have had a few guys wonder if I'm a fake account based on it. Go figure

She sounds a bit bonkers.

But I've always wondered why people delete the old and create new profiles?

Surely you can just hide it? That way you don't lose any verifications, don't have to start afresh looking like a newbie and don't (as the OP has stated he has done) have to explain to people that you've been here before/met them previously under a different guise.

Maybe the woman in this case just got pissed off with constantly bumping into people she'd already met when she was looking for someone new. Not an excuse for any abuse....but might explain it.

Yes, I take that on board and why I feel shit about this scenario. I did no wrong though, people are allowed to start afresh whenever they tire of fab (especially singles) and decide to return.

Did she not recognise your profile?

I've seen people leave and rejoin and there's a few I would have no contact with them but I'm.not going to scroll through new profiles and block people.

Let her jog on
