My last partner of any long-standing was/is my best friend, we have pretty much all the same tastes, interests, likes and dislikes, politics etc, she makes me laugh, sex was great and the cuddling/intimacy was even better. Now that I know that’s possible, albeit it took me 55 years to find her, I can’t imagine ever settling for anything less with anyone else as a partner, but as I don’t imagine I will ever find that fit again, I can’t see me ever having another partner as they would only ever be a pale shadow of that relationship which seems unfair to them. |

Had mine but lost her. Unfortunate really, she was an absolute diamond, perfect loving caring kind, selfless compassionate loving and intense and best of all her personality was as beautiful as she was. |

Funny you should say that. Chatting to my dearest friend today, I finally realised why I've been single for 34 years; every lovely chap I've ever met has left me totally deflated with some throwaway comment that's an ism or has demonstrated some coercive behaviour.
Physically, my mate would be tall, bearded and not fat.
He would vote Labour, not smoke, be happy with very little sex, a small and simple life, chickens and a lover.

After 40 years of marriage, I thought my life was over when we separated. At the age of 60, I met the gorgeous Goddess that I am now with and who will soon become my wife.
