Currently doing some 'mandatory' computer based learning about how to adapt to hybrid working. Somewhat after the fact I fear given we've been wfh for 2 years and had worked in an office environment for many years before the world imploded 26 months ago.

Got me thinking... what is superfluous to your working day? What do you have to do that you could simply ignore and still complete whatever you have to do to get through your day?

"Time sheets "

Is there an option to state how much time you spend filling in time sheets?

"Talking to my boss"

I actually haven't seen my boss in person since lockdown (at least not for work anyway!)

You know the sort of thing.. mandatory training that tells you the bloody obvious:

Barney and Adabi are making a coffee in the staff canteen. Which of the following SHOULDN’T they do?

(a) Promptly wipe up any spills on the floor that may cause somebody to slip and have an accident

(b) Go very careful to avoid scalding themselves with boiling water from the kettle

(c) Stick their metal spoon right inside the electrical socket and wriggle it around a little bit.

(Select answer (c))

That’s right! Well done! Sticking metal spoons into electrical sockets and wriggling it about a bit is likely to cause an electric shock which could result in death.

Aaarrrggggghhhh !!!

45 minutes of your life you’ll never get back!

They must have paid some consultant an absolute fortune to come up with terms like 'agile workstyle' and 'resident employee'.
