Look and think that you won’t post in here because there’s no point etc etc etc
I don’t mean the lurkers , who only post in the face picture Friday either - I mean the ones who actively read the posts and feel they can’t post.
The lounge is in it’s pre summer rest - this is the perfect time to join in and be seen

Most deff. It's not always about being correct right. Liked etc.

"I normally kill a thread.
Wait and see…."
This normally happens to me...
But also, given you can't delete a comment, I'm also wary that people can go through my comments.
So I only comment things that I would say in public.

I quite often think it’s not worth commenting, to be fair I’m pretty guilty of not really reading more than the first few responses in a thread anyway, so I guess I don’t expect anyone to bother reading some random comment about 137 lines down or whatever. |

Hmm, I guess I can see that, but as someone who happily shows pictures of my naked body on here, which I wouldn’t do in public, then the idea of also being open with what I say doesn’t feel much different, you won’t ever meet 99% of these people. |

Yeah, or the user posting the thread could set the limit, some threads warrant more responses than others |

I've only been participating a couple of months.
The novelty hasn't worn off yet.
I think I'm finding my feet and trying to fit in.
I've yet to start a post, I'm more a commenter. I have noticed myself holding back or avoiding the occasional thread though, whether that's because they don't interest me or because it's been asked 10 times already this month.
Either way, I'm happy. No one has moaned (at me) and it seems like a decent bunch (mostly)
Chocolate hob nobs, pineapple does not belong on a pizza. Coffee, not tea. Lunch/dinner. Jaffa Cakes, meh. |

The forum can be a friendly place to some, not to all.
Always been this way, not just this forum, it's simply social media.
On two occasions recently I've noticed two different people take a slight disagreement, turn it into a post of its own with a different version of events in order to drum up support because their fragile egos could not take a differing opinion.
Red flags galore, though most missed that.
It's mentioned further up that we need new posters, but they're often dismissed or even ridiculed.
I like the forum, I do, I like how useful it can be.
There are some aspects I dislike though.
That's social media for you.
This is why I often click back |

Normally relates to people who out no effort into having sex, they just lie there and. Have it done to them. In this context I’m guessing it refers to people who take no part in the discussion |

Sometimes yes. It's not that I can't, more I shouldn't. Like sometimes I have to sit on my hands to not let old bitchy Meli out, that's when I know it's not wise to post; no one needs me correcting them or pointing out that what they're typing is garbage and they don't actually behave that way. Or a thread that's touted as something for all but from the differences in replies you know it's just for friends.
But for the most part, I just don't have the desire to be on here as often as I once was. For the first time in a couple of years I think an extended break is due.

I have to curb my sadistic nature all the time on forums like this , and around 50 percent of the time I don't post because I know my honest opinion is not going to go down well with your average sycophantic swinger .
Bit like I can imagine what I've said here not going down to well with certain people I've already clashed with.
The not posting is me just thinking not worth the thinly hidden leading responses aim at trying to point score . Think I've mellow since my last stint on here could be a sign I'm getting old I bloody hope it's not or it maybe that I'm just not that interested any more kind of been there done that sort of vibe I seem to have developed over the last year or so .
My rejoining was a way of me checking out this vibe seeing if that is the case still not sure if it is but I do feel like I need to challenge myself somehow as I think the vibe maybe because I'm feeling to comfortable with my life and what I have going on in my life . |

Yes for a number of reasons…
Everything has already been said.
I’m not a confrontational or argumentative person. It’s easier to just roll my eyes and say nothing.
Im neither funny enough or desirable enough to warrant a response.
Overall I’m happy to just read and watch the goings on in here

Sounds like a personal issue for others to deal with. If they don't like what you've got to say, that's for them to worry about.
Post away, my friend. I used to tread carefully around others in case I offended with my views, but life's too short to worry about that sort of thing. |

My rejoining was a way of me checking out this vibe seeing if that is the case still not sure if it is but I do feel like I need to challenge myself somehow as I think the vibe maybe because I'm feeling to comfortable with my life and what I have going on in my life ."
I’ve mellowed a lot since my first visit here - years and years ago |

"No
If I read a thread and there's something I want to say on it, generally I will.
I’ve noticed
You say that like it's a bad thing?"
Did I ? I said I’d noticed - nothing bad in my two word reply ?
It’s hard to distinguish tone in here - wouldn’t you say ? |

"Yes for a number of reasons…
Everything has already been said.
I’m not a confrontational or argumentative person. It’s easier to just roll my eyes and say nothing.
Im neither funny enough or desirable enough to warrant a response.
Overall I’m happy to just read and watch the goings on in here
Kx"
If everything has been said - maybe it’s time for more people to post new things |

Sometimes by the time I get to a thread the things I would say have been said, or I don't have much time so don't want to start a conversation if I can't carry it on. Other times I just splurge out some comments then fuck off

I think that most of the time, yes. I just don’t bother. I read/lurk much more than I post.
I am never brave enough to start threads. I might have started 4 or 5 in my 4 years here. They’re normally about personal situations- I am rubbish at starting more generic ones, as “How was your day?” or “Tell me your plans for the week”, mostly because I think I will be really upset if it goes ignored. |

In a ball gown because that's how we roll in N. Devon |
I often start to type a reply to a thread and then give up... for a multitude of reasons. Sometimes it's just because I lose the will half way through.
Having had most of the last 3 weeks out I'm hoping my fatigue will have abated at least for a while, I miss the fun yet often haven't the energy to try and have it. Which makes little to no sense |

"Only the ones I feel I have something to add.
Otherwise I dont. Isn't that how everyone does it?"
Nah. Really not. I wonder if some make commenting on the forum a full time job. |

"I quite often think it’s not worth commenting, to be fair I’m pretty guilty of not really reading more than the first few responses in a thread anyway, so I guess I don’t expect anyone to bother reading some random comment about 137 lines down or whatever.
I understand that …. maybe the reply count needs to be lowered
Yeah, or the user posting the thread could set the limit, some threads warrant more responses than others "
This is a good idea, but fear most people posting would leave it as the upper limit regardless. |

I could post on a lot more than I do, but I really do wonder why, When the op has already been answered.
How many times I read ‘end of thread’ and I think, as funny as that was, it actually does end it.
But the forum would die if it wasn’t for repeated questions. Repeated answers and people that waffle, like I have here. |

Yes, because these are my opinions and I'm entitled to them. Just because they're not popular opinions doesn't mean that I'm wrong.
Once I was just dr#@k and F#@kin' about. That was fair. |
