What does your bedroom look like..

Bolton

I was informed yesterday that my bedroom looks like a teenager sleeps in it.. I'm 50 ffs

When I asked why she just laughed.. and said.. guitar's..dvd films..all the music... and the clothes all over my bed.

Admittedly everything has its place and the clothes were because I was going out and couldn't find anything to wear.

What is a bedroom supposed to look like

Apparently mines a blokes room.

Grey walls, black wardrobe with mirror doors. Black bed with a selection of grey sheets/duvet covers. Black bedside tables. Grey chaise. Ladder shelf with random stuff on. Couple of bits of artwork. Laminate floor.

Tidy enough, functional, a little personality.

The bed is definitely the focus of ours, a super kingsize in the middle of the room. White furniture and three out of four walls, with a black textured accent wall behind the bed. And of course the bed-facing mirror on the wardrobe

I like to think it's a nice looking bedroom, not too busy

This makes me feel so better! I had a leak in my roof that affected both bedrooms - one had just been decorated and all the paint came off the wall ... Consequently everything has been boxed /bagged and is all over the place

I'm contemplating having my chimneys taken out so i literally look like I'm camping

I like my bedroom. It's very bare tho as far as "things" go.

Just one photo and that's of the dog. No pictures. Everything else is functional.

I'd like more plants in it, hanging from the ceiling tho. Oh, and new curtain rails and curtains. Current ones don't fit properly at all.

I would describe mine as slightly dishevelled right now. Not super messy but not as tidy as when I'm making an effort. Ours pretty much just has furniture in it apart from the toiletries on the window sill. At the moment there's a pile of clean clothes on top of the chest of drawers waiting to be put away and a small suitcase under my dressing table waiting to be fully unpacked.

Purs is dark and sultry with a lovely big mirror and hooks in the ceiling. We sometimes have guests staying and so far none have asked about or commented on them.

A huge mess because I also use it for doing my artwork in. So there are artist materials everywhere.

Ours is tidy as I put the laundry away this morning. If I hadn't it would resemble a launderette.

But it's also in desperate need of redecoration. It still has the wallpaper that the previous owners chose. Floral walls are not to my taste. We also need new carpet and curtains. But I do have my favourite student poster up

It's actually getting embarrassing inviting people over for sex. Though hopefully they pay more attention to us than the state of the walls

My boudoir - S Wales

Boujie apparently. I didn’t know that word existed until someone said my flat was Boujie. I’ve got a bit of a French theme going on. I’d call it romantic. Sometimes it looks like a brothel when I put my red ceiling projector on.

Haha, I just found out today that mine requires a more feminine touch - which Mrs EK assures me will be happening soon. I have also been assured the hook on the roof for the swing and stalks will be staying, as will the St Andrews style hooks on the wall.........not too much feminisation going on then

I wouldnt advise it, if you have the bigger chimneys not the lined chimneys.

They can still be used if you have alternatives within heating.

If you think you are messy now the dust alone from taking them chimneys out will be everywhere.

I have a big bedroom with large white, built in wardrobes. Mostly everything in it is different shades of purple or dusty pink.
