Cyclist Arrested on M3

"A cyclist was arrested on the M3. Apparently it's against the law to ride a pushbike on the M3..
They should throw the book at him"
If he's a quick cyclist, it would be a tough job to throw a book and actually hit him. |

"Tom does not make this stuff up...he actually tried outrunning the police "
Outriding? Outcycling? Running does not involve bicycles, at least not as far as I can remember (sadly running is no longer in my repertoire). |

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else |

That's a bit extreme. Not even community service? |

That's why he got caught, running whilst carrying a bike is harder than you expect and reduces your speed and agility. |

You are wrong.
It is perfectly legal to cycle on a bypass. |

There are many legal things I wouldn't risk. Cycling on a dual carriageway is definitely one of them."
What’s that got to do with my comment that it’s legal to cycle on a bypass ? |

I had to call the police once as I spotted a cyclist at the end of a central reservation where it opened up for an A road to merge with the motorway. No idea how he got there or how he was planning on getting off. |
