I've just booked my ticket to see them at Hyde Park in July.
I've never been a hard-core fan but I love some of the stuff they have put out and they are definitely in the category "legends" and I really respect them. I reckon there aren't going to be too many opportunities to see them, what with Charlie Watts going to play drums with the heavenly choir last year, so I'm taking the opportunity while I can and Im really looking forward to it.
Anybody else going? What are your thoughts on The Stones? |

"Enjoy! Carl thinks this will be their last tour. "
It's certainly possible which is one reason I'm keen to go, but I think they will keep going as long as they physically can. Keith Richards has been self-pickling for decades so he might last a bit longer than the others. |

Enjoy, I went to see them a few years ago. I thought Jagger was brilliant, good voice and stage presence. |

I grew up loving the Stones and saw them at Knebworth in ‘78, then again in Sheffield for the Voodoo Lounge tour. They were superb.
Settled on my final viewing as being Glastonbury in 2013 - I got pretty close to the front and they were great. Mick didn’t have the breath to sing and dance but he still owned the stage. Keith’s fingers aren’t as nimble as once they were so some of the riffs were short a few notes. But they put on a hell of a show.
Mick Taylor joined them on stage and the pretty young lass stood by me said “who’s he?”
The encore was a fabulous version of Can’t Always Get What You Want. It’s on YouTube, have a look.
Would I pay £100 or more to see them again? Nah.

I’m going to all three UK gigs, I’ve loved them for years, they really have provided the soundtrack to my life.
These three shows will take my Stones gig count to 30 and my user name on here is a subtle tribute to the greatest rock n roll band in the world. I’m just a little obsessed |
