Do you? How do you consume films at home? Streaming? Downloads, whether legal or not? Just whatever's on TV?
We still buy them. Got a whole shelving unit of them. But I can't remember the last time I paid full price. Most of ours come from CEX. Haven't been in HMV for years. |

Yes I do. Mostly from CEX but sometimes new. The children like to have them and all our TV runs on WiFi so if the WiFi went down we'd still have something to watch. Also, not all forms are available on streaming services or free on them anyway. It's nice to know we can watch what we want when we want.

My father does, we had this chat recently about Fantastic Beasts latest film. He is also going to wait for the price to come down before buying it.

Last time i brought a music cd was probably 10 years ago. I use YouTube when want listen music .
Last dvd i brought was 3/4 years ago the Bridges Of Madison County.
By option i don't have Internet a home apart on my phone , also i only see freeview channels .
I'm a music lover and with a Bluetooth sound system and phone with Internet will do to me perfectly without the need to buy cd's at all . |

I buy DVDs and CDs from charity shops because they are dead cheap. They are better value than streaming services and I get to keep my music for ever. When you stop paying for a streaming service, you have nothing left for your investment. They are wonderful in some ways but given the choice I want to own not rent. Luke |

I buy a few, not all films will be available on a streaming service and until streaming service are fast enough to carry 4k dvds will always give better picture and sound quality providing you have the right equipment. |

Recent DVD purchases Chasing The Moon a PBS documentary on the space race. Plus the 1947 version of Whiskey Galore. Both will get a lot of play, neither are very easily found on streaming nor torrent sites.
When I can't stream or torrent the DVD is a must. |

Well if you want the best quality sound and picture then 4K discs are still the best option. Also, once you own them, they can't be removed or edited because suddenly someone finds some 40 year old dialogue or plot point inappropriate or offensive, which still happens on streaming services, particularly D+ |

The truth is you can go to your local carboot and for the cost of Netflix for a month pick up around 20 or more DVDs , the carboots around me sell 3 or 4 DVDs for a pound just to get rid of them .
Real cheap way of keeping yourself entertained in my opinion . |

I have bought some box sets of TV shows I’ve enjoyed over the years. Especially some older stuff that was out in the 80’s.
I work with an online site that sells DVD’s and they get plenty of business. But their most popular titles are in the Cult Film sections. For the fans of some of these obscure titles anything you produce or find will bring in orders. |

I still buy them in charity shops. Picked up Heat and Drive about a month back. Love those films. I mostly buy DVDs of films I really really like.
They have always come in handy when you move and you’re waiting for the WIFI to get set up for a few days and you can binge your faves. |

I buy more DVDs than CDs, last DVD I bought was OLD M Night Shyamalan film, and The Quiet Place ll. I don’t use my TV for channels etc as I got rid of the TV box and license, so main viewing is DVDs or Netflix
Last CD I bought was Chris De Burgh just to use in the car |
