"Could you spend a year in a space habitat orbiting the earth"
Whilst going into space would be awesome, I'd expect it to get a little boring after a couple of hours. At a very minimum, I would need to have my musical instruments (Drums, Guitars & Piano) with me and someone to jam with.

Are they space regulated
I'd imagine they would have new tech for music making, imagine the cost of transporting your baby grand into space. I also wonder if the artificial atmosphere would have any effect on the sound of the strings |

In the absence of actual instruments, every surface becomes percussion... so there are definitely health an safety advantages of taking the instruments. From an acoustics point of view, I've no doubt that different atmospheric composition would effect the sound as would the construction of the "space habitat". That certainly sounds like research worthy of space travel.

Space food ... idk
Everything has to be sticky so it doesn't float away.
Space toilets ... a marvel of engineering I'm sure but still
No fresh air ... opening windows is not really an option.
No blue sky's... all that darkness above you all the time. I don't think it would be healthy mentally
Gravity ... useful for personal hygiene. No one wants ear or public hair floating around.
And as for sex or masturbation ... floating fluids ... as star Lord "in here is like a Jackson pollack painting" |

No showers, baths, washing!
No takeaways or restaurants, boozey evenings with friends watching football or strictly or I'm a celebrity.
No bbqs or fires
No laying in grass or on sand listening to kids play in parks or at the beach
No swimming
I'm a big sci fi nerd and I would love to be send away on a colony ship to some distant star system.
In some ways being deprived of these things for life is easier than being deprived of them for a year |

"I have lived in Swindon for 8 years. Space a year alone ….. please take my money now and get me up there "
Swindon does have its charms, just got to know where to look
For me, no problems. Anyone who's done 4/6 month detachments in the desert or Falklands would breeze it I'm sure. Plus the chance to take a year out and just focus on me? Sounds good... |

"Could I go round and round in pointless circles for what seems like an eternity? No problem, I've driven through Milton Keynes several times. "
You wouldn't pass the strict criteria I don't think after you tried to join the dual carriageway in MK the wrong way ha ha |
