Does anyone else when they are bored on days off have a big urge to just go and get random tattoos? If I could design things I'd end up covered in them.

Got both arms fully done already but you should never get them on impulse, make them symbolic and personal to you. My chest will be done in future. Would like to get throat done too but upon reflection will be a pain having to protect with sun cream plus shaving etc.

I get the urge but would never go to a tattooist that has availability on the day. If they’re not fully booked for months they’re probably not very good.

It’s going to be on your body for life. Waiting a few months shouldn’t be a problem.

I'd never be able to get one on a whim as every artist I've ever used is generally booked up around 9 months in advance, so always have to get something in the diary for a subsequent session after each new tat.

If you can walk in to a tattooist and get seen straight away you're not in a good studio. (not including cancellations of course)

If a person gets a tattoo on there face above there eye you will get lots of people looking at it!

Is it ok to stare at it? Or would the person think you are staring at them or the tattoo?

Waiting list for my artist is normally around 4 months, but that is because I always book midweek, when she is less likely to have a booking.

You definitely get what you pay for. As the saying goes you can either have a good tattoo or a cheap tattoo.

I have no idea how much I have spent over the years, but my leg piece has cost me over £2k

I also have a full back piece, half my torso, both shoulders and a couple of smaller pieces. I think maybe £5k-ish of ink over the years? Maybe a little more
