"Manners dude. Manners "
Really?
Manners. Iam well aware what they are, when to use and apply.
It is not a job application or any other professional correspondence of any kind. |

"
You can't win on here!! Men complain about getting blocked or left on read.
They even complain about not getting a "no thanks".
I give up, I just block.

"This is a joke thread right? "
No joke at all.
I have viewed many a post. And most parts of the forum.
So was just gauging what it's all about.
If I send a message
. No reply I move on. If I get blocked well even more easier for me.

So you only apply your ‘manners’ when applying for a job or acting ‘professionally’ WOW |

There is a truth and proof in the very put in . When somebody does want to on a wavelength they will find a way to text/chat/message and otherwise.
When nit. There is silence.
Oh they opened it and read it. But I am waiting for a reply.
And have read manytime. Some get abused for it all.

It's a forum. Put out there.
Or does it seem like people are being told what to do?? |

dependent on one’s mood, volume of messages rec’d, message context, etc...
find simpler to just ignore the messages that ask silly questions to which they already have an answer to, had they bothered to read profile...
some peeps make more effort than others in their messaging, these I tend to make time to answer as opposed to the simple Hi, winks, etc. |

"My block button is in constant use
Brill.
Simple method applied. No reply move on.
Block is what it is.
yet people complain, what is actually the issue with being told "Thanks but not for me." ?"
No issue whatsoever from any context.
Do you message every single person to tell them thank you, and no thank you??

So many posts on ‘why not reply? - even if it’s a no thanks, it’s polite and no need to be rude or ignorant’
Now we’ve got ‘why reply? If it’s a no thanks why not just block?’

I too used to respond with a "no thank you" to all of my messages that the profile etc didn't interest me, then over the weekend I was threatened by a guy, so even though I have manners I won't be using them in future. |

Well stated. Very valid point.
Some may take it as a door ajar to still try the sales pitch or maybe angle.
How we react sends all types of signals.

If it’s a well thought out message then we’ll reply.
If it’s a dick pic, one liner, FaF or copy and paste message we’ll just delete.
We did get this the other day - someone saying why did you message to say no thanks, told us where to go.
Obviously this made C so turned on we tried to message but they’d blocked us

It should not be taken wrong at all. Its very polite they took the time to let you know where you stand. And gently let you slip away and ponder your not for them. And keep improving your CV on Fab. |

Maybe a 3 point step of rule with manners to be applied to responses, declines, and No's. In messaging..
Like an old school dogging etiquette's..
1) when headlights are flashed, your invited.
2) come close to the car, look ,wank, but do not touch ever.
3) when winked at and given the full (green light ) all systems go go.
Please do add to this, it is very basic and brief.. |

We cant reply to all our messages.
We sometimes delete all messages.
Had to make our profile hidden as getting too many messages and some really vile pushy messages.
Some ppl on here think that they are gods gift and deserve a reply or meet.

I am sure that for most people will depend on the message. Some will just delete, some delete and block some answer with a polite no and some will encourage further conversation. Context plays a part. Not all cold callers sell double glazing and even then someone may be looking for just that at the time |

They can’t win .. you saying just delete and block and other guys saying just reply and tell us they don’t like you
You send a message
I say each to their own
Deal with the out Cutcome
Delete and block or a reply telling you they don’t want anything to do with you
Deal with it |

I reply. I then reply again if they don’t acknowledge that I’ve replied. If I then don’t get a reply to that. I then send insults for them being ignorant f’kwits…. I don’t.
I think I’ve only ever not replied twice. The messages were insulting. But other times I hate the ignorance of ‘not replying is a polite no’. Each to their own, but not for me. |

"If not your cuppa/ delete/ why reply to say sorry nice but not for me.
A tip.
Always make sure you read the profile before making contact.
It's all about respect."
Read profile and respond accordingly . Much arises from not reading and then acting.
