I don't use mine on my profile but I do if I meet someone in person.
Having said that, when I meet people from the forums socially most call me jez and I'm so used to that now I don't think twice.... |

I still remember the first social I attended at a club.
I walked into the balcony at A&G, looked around and did not recognise anyone.
As I headed back downstairs, I heard people calling "Pearl, Pearl" and it dawned on me that was me they were calling for!

We use real names our swinging names, its our alter ego's and it works well.
When we get to the point of meeting then we will disclose our christened names.
Saying that we still get called Frank and Simone by all our swinging friends |

I don't use my birth name, rather a shortened version of my confirmation name (Margaret) as I prefer that - a lot of friends on here know my birth name and use it at socials - confuses the people that don't know me that well, but my family know I get called by both and I was introduced to Jim's family as Meg but they know its not my birth name - it's never been a problem. I'm not trying to hide anything, just like to be called Meg |

I don't have my name on my profile, nor do I have a fake one. I just don't use any name till I meet people in the flesh.
Not sure why, but I'm so used to this way if doing things that it would be unsettling to use my name on a website!
But lots of people call me TD... |

Ruby is not my real name, nor is sophia. In the club I'm my real name and I do tell people face to face if I'm organising a meet. I quite like my alter ego, its much classier than my real name!! |

I use my real name, don't care who knows it, M likes M, but people who we talk to on here and trust know his name.
I did accidentally at a meet once before call him his surname as well and we don't think people should know our surname. |

Im friends with people on facebook and so i've trusted those people with my surname. Through those friends i have also come across other users and because the pictures make it clear they are certain users i'm also aware of their details. I would never ever blab though and expose others information if i was told it in confidence or i obtained it by accident for example |

Yes, Perky and I were Christened as such and can produce our birth certificates to prove it!
Yeah, right...
Nah, we do use our real names in PM's and in person though. Too bloody old for all that subterfuge!!!
Although, if I were a single woman on here or any other site, I wouldn't use my real name at any time or under any circumstances. Too many weirdos around....

"Its mostly my real name on my profile, too!"
Professor XXX - that profile of yours should be in the Fabs Hall of Fame along with Bussy's
However, two points I must challenge you on: You state when the melon must be, but not the Satsuma? One assumes the same location?
And... you do seem to have a preoccupation with Sainsbury's. Some may even call it an obsession..... ? Discuss...

haven't got my name on my profile, but don't have a swinging name...if I'm speaking to someone I'll tell them my name though.
Have had meets with swinging names and I end up getting confused so now I just call everyone 'hun' to save me getting it wrong! |

Why thank you! Im blushing now
I will give you it is inferred with respect to the location of the Satsuma should be the same as the Melon, however I always give extra attention to creative use of small fruit!
As for my Sainsbury's fetish - its all about those brown and orange uniforms!

Hmmm... I can understand the orange uniform thing. I was quite uncontrollable last time I flew easyJet - Perky had to drag me to the toilet to calm me down.....

"I use my real name "
Ben is an alter ego, as my real name would stand out down in this neck of the woods. When I have a meet, I generally tell me real name. Funny thing is when I go to a party and half the people call me by my real name and the other half call me Ben.
I kinda like Ben, prefer it to my real name, which I curse my parents for!!! |

What's wrong with 'Dick'? Perfect shortening of 'Richard'.

I find people call me by my profile name even if I do give them my real name (with the exception of a couple of very close friends) so am quite comfortable hearing it called. TBH I've even considered a legal change of name and have done with it! |
