Come on comic fans. What are you all reading at the moment?

Picked up Grim yesterday and I thought it was amazing

Not a comic nerd as such, but I have a big collection of old comics from the 80s up in my roof, Beano, Dandy, Topper, The Beezer, Whizzer & Chips that sort of thing. Not your new fangled Manga or superhero stuff or owt like that.

And I still get the Christmas Beano every year, I have every one since 1976 to date

Your roof or your attic Dan? Sorry/not sorry couldn’t resist it!

I do think this qualifies you though! I also have a couple of old comics around somewhere (only a couple though) and used to love getting the beano annual at Christmas too!

Not a comic fan anymore but I had two boxes of the commando comics that my old man used to but when I was a kid, the little ones that told a short WW2 story. Gave them to a neighbour when we moved years ago. Not long ago I read that they are a collectors item and worth quite a lot more than they were bought for

Top tip, keep hold of them, you never know

And you were on the Marks and Spencer proper posh card list too, not the Poundshop multipack card list like my neighbours are..

Missin’ Yo’ Kissin’

I tend to collect the book versions with lots of stories in it. Magazines are a bit space hogging.

Love the Silver Surfer. No one can touch it in my opinion..... The script/dialogue is a bit Hippy in it's origin & makes you think at the same time. Love it!

My all time favourite comic artist is Robert Crumb for his art shading & hatching skills. No one is like him. Although, not everyone's cup of tea subject matter wise.

The "Furry Freak Brothers" is another (see YouTube - Woody Harelson does a voice character), although I bought it in comic form then book. A spin-off, off of that - "Fat Freddy's" Cat is funny too! Cat lovers should love it too.

I used to be a massive comic reader but I haven't bought one in a long time.

I used to buy the single issues of Spider-Man and X Men whenever they came out. Used to read my cousins 2000ad when I was younger too.
