So a clown doll with a goatee isn't on your Santa list?

I have an irrational fear when driving across the Severn bridge. It's as if I think I'm going to somehow drive off the edge...

I have to concentrate really hard and keep focused about staying in a straight line.

So, to summarise - bridges

As a child I used to be scared of that split level section of the M5 just south of Bristol, as I was always convinced that something would cone through / over the barrier and land on us.

As an adult I know that it's ridiculous, but I still get that memory every time I go through there

My other, actual phobia is wasps. Bastards that they are....

Mr

I know that M5 bridge. I avoid it if at all possible. It appears almost out of nowhere, great big looming thing!

I have this exact same fear! If I drive across that bridge, I have to stay in the middle lane, or else I start palpitations

Also had a fear of telephone boxes as a kid. Thankfully, most of them have been removed now.

If I went near one, I would instantly need a wee

I was transporting someone from that end of Wales. As soon as she saw the sign for the bridge, she freaked. I had to take a detour through the forest of Dean instead and asked me to let me know when we got near another crossing. Kept her chatting until we crossed at Gloucester then she asked when do we cross the Severn? I got slapped when I told her we crossed it 10minutes previously
