If it's the choice of the owner then it's abuse.
My uncle had a dog with digestive issues that after vet consultations and tests was found to be better on a vegetarian (not vegan) diet. Lived a healthy life.
Dogs are carnivores. Like cats.
Cats aren't pigs like dogs but both will generally need meat in their diets.
Pigs will also eat meat. They're very handy for disposal of certain 'meats'.......allegedly.

Dogs are omni ores, they'll happily munch on fruit and vegetables.
Same as a human, if you can feed them the right level of nutrients they should be OK but I don't really see the point - let them be their natural selves |

If they have medical issues and have been advised to by a vet then that’s different but to feed a dog a vegan diet because it’s your belief is ridiculous.How they get their dog to eat if baffles me .When I give my dog a burger he picks out all the healthy stuff  .. |

It's just another example of their twisted logic. Evolution has got dogs, and us for that matter, this far, it really doesn't need any help. The belief that by being a vegan is better for the planet is laughable, because yeah it's a really great idea to extend the time each individual human is on this planet, 'cause we really look after it don't we  |
