If the let the tyre down and it is driven on then it will be damaged so there is a cost. If it is reinflated on the spot there is a call out charge. It delays the owner so it is obstruction.
Assault to property, criminal damage etc. 200 hours community service walking round the town with a foot pump blowing up tyres.  |

It's an offence.
"Section 1(1) CDA 1971 - A person who without lawful excuse destroys or damages any property belonging to another, intending to destroy or damage any such property, or being reckless as to whether any such property would be destroyed or damaged, shall be guilty of an offence."
"Damage is not defined by the CDA 1971. It should be widely interpreted to include not only permanent or temporary physical harm, but also permanent or temporary impairment of value or usefulness - Morphitis v. Salmon [1990] Crim.L.R. 48."
Deflating a tyre is a temporary impairment and also reckless as if the driver doesn't notice it can cause damage/accidents/danger to the life of the driver and/or pedestrians.
So they can try and claim they're not breaking the law but they'd lose.
Like a previous poster, if I caught someone doing this to us they'd not have to worry about the police. We rely on our 4x4 living in the middle of butt-fuck-nowhere with animals that need daily care. I know this is currently only happening in cities but no doubt some dumb arsewipe will try it out in the sticks soon.....

Very much so hence i asked them to fuck off away from my jeep as its criminal damage or i was unsure if they were trying to break into it ..
got a colorful reply ..
so I mistakenly slipped and my knee smashed his face/head into the wheel arch of my jeep it seemed . these wet carparks are a menace for footwear at times ..

You should tell them that the cars get less mpg if the tyres aren’t inflated correctly… so they are only helping make the problem worse…
Or ask the how many mpg does your car do? If they correctly guess you let them live  heck if they have done their specific homework then I might actually admire their purpose   |
