"I'm going prince "

Ones dead and I don't know the other.

I'd call that a draw

Probably a reference to Sinead's cover of a Prince song which outsold the original. Personally I was not a fan of the cover version.

They both have/had great voices but Sinead's voice had mass appeal at a certain point in time.

I have not heard many tracks by Sinead, but I have seen Prince live twice and listened to a load of his music so as a preference and not as a measure of quality I prefer Prince.

Prince never released his original as a single. I think it was originally given away as an album track to "Th Family".

Sinead O’Connor. Absolutely adored her singing that. The video is so powerful too. Have a read of behind the lyrics from Prince. It’s really beautiful.

Sinead's cover made Prince's version sound lame. Her first four albums were phenomenal, that voice so expressive of many emotions. She wanted to reshoot the video for that single because of the tear that she sheds the director insisted that it stayed

I wouldn’t say lame, Prince still does it as good as he can. And that’s still a 10/10, it’s Prince

She smashed it, and I’m sure he knew it too. His is great. Hers just hits me in my soul.

But I never forget that it’s his words

Brilliant singer, songwriter, musician and dancer he definitely was the whole package. His vault is still full of unreleased music too. Sexy MF.
