A crepe is like a bigger pancake and I suppose it's different from American Style Pancakes. But really, who gives a crepe?

Scotch pancakes are smaller & even more thicker and American pancakes are ever more thicker which you make stacks out off, drizzle with maple syrup & have with bacon

I ordered pancakes for breakfast, lovely hotel in the Cotswolds.

They served American pancakes.

Very dissapointed. Very very...

The main difference is that pancake batter has a raising agent in it, such as baking powder or baking soda, and crepe batter does not. This means that pancakes are thicker and fluffy while crêpes are thin and flat.

Erm…. I’ve always made pancakes with plain flour, eggs and milk…. No raising agent - who knew all these years I had it wrong…

But crispy crepes with Nutella is just the best
