I has my wisdom tooth out nearly 2 weeks ago, which proved more difficult than expected and the had to cut my gum. She put stitches in and said they should be gone in 2 weeks time.
The stitches do not look like they are dissolving at all, and are just flapping around at the back of my mouth and are rather annoying!
Do I have to go back to the dentist to get then removed or can I just go to my gp? Or will they eventually go? |

Id call up your dentist and just explain the issue. they might want to check to see if the wound is healing up correctly |

not far from iceland,,,,,, tescos is nearer though :-) (near leeds) |
I thought it was the circulation of blood that caused them to disolve,.. i ve had the odd ones that havent dissolved completely, i gave mine a gentle pull with tweezers ... . not had any in my mouth though,
dentist or nurse... |

Looked like i had been attacked when i had mine done my face and neck were black and blue.
Had all 4 done at once all of mine were hooked on the next tooth so couldn't come through
They did dissolve but it was like having a mouth full of cotton wool for days |
