Has anyone else just lost that need/desire for sex?

I don’t know if it’s my mental health or since having covid or jabs or I’ve just become accustomed to the let down of not getting any.

I have learnt or am learning to deal with the frustration in another way. More exercise, lifting weights, going for walks.

There are many reasons for libido to diminish, but defo suggest you have a word with your doc about this, especially if it’s out of the ordinary.

They’ll be best placed to help you pinpoint a reason, be it one you’ve listed or one you don’t know about!

I did op. My mojo hit the Floor. Nothing but my mental state and emotional issues.

But, I was amazed how quickly it did return, and it’s a mixture of things going on in my life including work, friends and sexy friends.

It’s amazing how confidence plays a part in your sex life and had impacted mine.

Just adding my pennies worth to your question. - has anyone else. Yes I am one but evidence that it can return.

Two years ago - yes

It had been depleting for a while before I lost it altogether though.

I eventually spoke to the Dr after about 6 months after watching the Davina McCall documentary on menopause.

I’m peri menopausal, and I’m relieved to be on patches now. The sex drive is back - but not as much as before ( yet)

I didn’t think I was being a horrid person, I had brain fog, aches and basically thought I was mad.

See a Dr x

Regardless of whether you are the man or the woman of the couple, you sound disappointed in your relationship.. maybe start there

Definitely not disappointed in our relationship otherwise things would’ve changed years ago.

Bit of a crappy jump to conclusion.

I would’ve stated that I wasn’t happy with the old girl at the start.

To the dude that got his drive back.

Well done. I have had mental health problems (sorry us guys shouldn’t mention that) but defo on the mend.

I wasn’t sure if it was because of having covid or the jabs

Does that say that we are having relationship problems?

We have two kids, I run my own business and she works shifts.

Is that ok with you or are you gonna try to be right about more aspects of my life that you know nothing about.

You’re writing about not getting any - Charming turn of phrase

Yet, you’re on a couples profile which I can assume your partner will see this?

Yes I have, although I know why (I think).

Also, lack of opportunity to meet/free time/unable to accommodate have sort of put a dampener on it as well.

Hopefully it will return, and I hope yours does too OP.

Actually. We have had a nice long talk about this

Much like we do about other aspects of our very long relationship.

It doesn’t boil down to “not getting any”. If it boiled down to not getting any, I’d be shaggin behind her back like other people would/other people do.

A man can’t ask such questions to gain insight of other men have or had such problems.

And before there are any other snide comments. It works.

When I say that I’ve grown accustomed to not getting any, it’s because we all have our problems and busy lives.

Again I’ll ask, have others noticed this to be more of an issue since having had covid or the jabs?

Your middle line probably explains the lack of sex

I've been feeling the same OP but for me it's because of other reasons, not Covid or getting my jabs. It's frustrating, I understand x

I guess as we get older, things change for both men and women.

I hope that whatever your reasons are can be helped.

I’ll see if I can have a chat with my doctor and maybe the professional can give me some advice.

Guys out there who may be having the same problem, you’re not alone.

I’m glad that I have a supportive wife who I can talk to about these things.

I was just reaching out as I can’t chat to my mates about this kind of thing.

Yes.

I have close to zero and have done for a while now.

I’m perfectly happy and accepting of that now and I get a hell of a lot done each day. I’ve never been so productive!

Manchester (she/her)

My libido up and died several years ago (well before Covid). As soon as my soul crushing stress lifted, my libido came roaring back.

No change after vaccinations for Covid or otherwise.

I have found that being more productive has helped.

Not many people talk about the struggles of day to day life affecting sex drive.

I hope it’s just a phase and that the extra exercise will kick start it all again. I love the connection from making whoopie with Claire and we are both missing it.

I’m actually making some positive changes in my life to help with the stress.

Even if it doesn’t work out. The steps I have taken so far I am proud of myself for.

Honestly, go see your doctor!

If it doesn’t bother you, then fine, but if it does then go and see a doctor or a sex therapist.
