"I'm 27 and today is the first time I've heard of this word. Am I old too?
K
Jesus …. I’m old
I remember 27 "
I wasn't trying to call you old I'm sorry if I came across that way.
Eh...it's alright I guess, the panic of being almost 30 is setting in

But is it an age thing or a London thing? Am I too old or too Northern? |

I think it’s just a slang thing. I think I’ve heard Aitch use peng in a lyric so not a London thing. But I don’t think it’s age specific, it’s more about what cultural things you follow, are around and are influenced by.
As a sociologist once said- there’s only cultural difference!
Sorry didn’t mean to get all deep there. |

Just looked it up in an online urban slang dictionary. Peng and leng are interchangeable and mean desirable, attractive or sexy. To call someone even more desirable, attractive and sexier it says peng a leng. And here's me thinking that's what the Bay City Rollers sang!

I hadn’t heard this one
I think I’m in the middle. I don’t know what the new words are but whenever I try to get into an older man’s bed I need a translator. One kept going on about someone being a sandwich short for a picnic and I just thought I just wanna have sex not a picnic with your mates.

Unlike when someone says Par.
This is when someone insults you, that’s a par. When someone ignores you, that’s a par. When something bad happens, that’s a par. Usually, the word is used to just draw attention to the fact you’ve been wronged in some way.
been parred... |

I assume Par in this instance comes from the golfing term Par, meaning Average - "he was 2 under par at the 7th". |
