I love fish and I often have a nice platter of fish for dinner parties. The last one was amazing last Easter. Those of you who love their fish, what would you like to see on your fish platter. Pick anything you like from below or add something you like I may have missed

Chip shop fish is the only fish i eat since i cooked my own and got food poisoning used to love the muscles and cockles at scarborough as a boy but the idea makes me cringe now |

I know what you mean about the lobster. I love it if cooked properly and without fuss or lots of creamy sauces etc. In fact it does go really well with steamed mussels and clams ![](/icons/thumb_up.png) |

When I was a teenager we had two or three lobster pots going and very seldom didn't have any in them.
I wouldn't call it overrated but used to prefer spider crab as a delicacy but the season was shorter.
Later on I started catching bass and would list that as my favourite fish. Sadly I am currently limited to sourcing them at the supermarket.
Sand eels were also a regular treat. I still have my rake but don't suppose I will ever use it again.
Abroad I like king fish and mahi mahi.
The greatest shellfish I was lucky enough once to enjoy plentifully was ormer, or abalone as it is better known. |
