Swordfish Seabass Mackerel Haddock

Red snapper Halibut Trout

Catfish Squid Octopus Crab

Tilapia Monkfish Sea bream Sprats

Oysters Anchovies

Shrimps Prawn Langoustines Scallops

Clams cockles whelks

Near Wellingborough

I had lightly battered snapper when I went to Jamaica, it was amazing.

Yes it's lovely. Actually just lightly dusted with flower and a touch of pepper and leave the rest to the fish. Amazing

I know what you mean about the lobster. I love it if cooked properly and without fuss or lots of creamy sauces etc. In fact it does go really well with steamed mussels and clams

You know I could have sworn I put lobster on but obviously not. Thanks.

When I was a teenager we had two or three lobster pots going and very seldom didn't have any in them.

I wouldn't call it overrated but used to prefer spider crab as a delicacy but the season was shorter.

Later on I started catching bass and would list that as my favourite fish. Sadly I am currently limited to sourcing them at the supermarket.

Sand eels were also a regular treat. I still have my rake but don't suppose I will ever use it again.

Abroad I like king fish and mahi mahi.

The greatest shellfish I was lucky enough once to enjoy plentifully was ormer, or abalone as it is better known.
