Lived in hotels there for 3 months with work. If its Piccadilly train station try Thistle hotel or any in Oxford Street/Portland Street they will be within 10 mins walk. Novotel is there I think.

The airport is miles away from Piccadilly train station, don't book one near the airport. The Mint hotel at the top of Canal Steet is nice and also near the train station.

Depending on what train station your your getting the train to.

Manchester oxford road station the palace hotel is opposite on oxford road.

Manchester deansgate station jurys inn is on great bridewater street and hilton hotel is there to.

correction Piccadilly Oxford ROAD Victoria & Deansgate to be pedantic ,

your more than likely going to piccadilly from Dudley .

Hotel international and munroes right accross the road very nawty/kink friendly as used alot by people visiting club LASH bdsm event every month

mcdonald hotel near the station but slightly out of town

mint (the ex city inn) facing the station and on the edge of the gay village

ibis portland street

premier inn portland street

portland thistle

you can also rent rooms above the rembrandt pub in the village

imho avoid sacha's hotel - rough !

similar for the britannia

if you have some dosh, the radisson edwardian in the former free trade hall

if there is a group of you, also look at the aparthotels

there is a great one next to piccadilly station called 'the place'

when are you coming up ?

i need to tell friends and family to keep their sons in doors that wkend

Youll probably arrive in to Piccadilly.

Hotels withing 5 mins walk are

The Place. Straight outside, little expensive but sometimes on offer of £80 and quality.

The Macdonald, same as above but £100+ and quality +1

Britania is about 3 mins walk and cheap - about £50 but very hot and miss, usually very hot rooms

Renaisance - straight oposite, nice but £150

Days Hotel, justa across the road nice again

Portland

Ibis is the furthest at about 5 mins

Theres a few others too

Sheffield

Train tickets to any central Manchester station are valid for all central Manchester stations.

So don't worry if it says Piccadilly and you need Oxford rd. Also most trains stop at both.
