Not my work, but had some resonance tom a couple of PM's I've had this week, so thought I would share with all

Recently I overheard a father and daughter in their last moments together in an airport lounge.
They had announced her departure and standing near the security gate, they hugged and he said, "I love you. I wish you enough."
She in turn said, "Dad, our life together has been more than enough. Your love is all I ever needed. I wish you enough, too, Dad."
They kissed and she left. He walked over toward the window where I was seated. Standing there I could see he wanted and needed to cry. I tried not to intrude on his privacy, but he welcomed me in by asking, "Did you ever say goodbye to someone knowing it would be forever?"
"Yes, I have," I replied. Saying that brought back memories I had of expressing my love and appreciation for all my Dad had done for me. Recognizing that his days were limited, I took the time to tell him face to face how much he meant to me.
So I knew what this man experiencing.
"Forgive me for asking, but why is this a forever goodbye?" I asked.
"I am old and she lives much too far away. I have challenges ahead and the reality is, the next trip back would be for my funeral," he said.
"When you were saying goodbye I heard you say, "I wish you enough." May I ask what that means?"
He began to smile. "That's a wish that has been handed down from other generations. My parents used to say it to everyone."
He paused for a moment and looking up as if trying to remember it in detail, he smiled even more.
"When we said 'I wish you enough,' we were wanting the other person to have a life filled with just enough good things to sustain them," he continued and then turning toward me he shared the following as if he were reciting it from memory.
"I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright.
I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun more.
I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive.
I wish you enough pain so that the smallest joys in life appear much
bigger.
I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting.
I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess.
I wish enough "Hello's" to get you through the final "Goodbye."

Why wouldn't people speak to you again? Your parents showed you love and you now recognise it. That's a good thing. |

I would hope that nothing could be further from the truth.
If someone can turn their life around and turn their mistakes into lessons, then, in my book, they are people worth knowing x

no one should knock u - ure one brave lady in my book and it takes courage to admit some of the stuff u have this week, u have lived, learnt and come out the other side - your inspirational and no one is perfect ................  |

I never judge, i take the person as i myself find them, not for mistakes they have made or anything I've heard off another. We all make mistakes , i think your a beautiful person xx |

I think you will find most of us live on second chances, i know ive been given second chances. Let him without sin cast the first stone. i for one dont think any different towards you, we can do alot of things in life but we cant change the past. The main thing is learning by your mistakes and you obviously have |

More tears here..I lost my dad 13 years ago and I miss him everyday. He was my rock who would always support me even when I made huge mistakes.

My father is still alive but I haven't seen him for 25 years since he pretty much abandoned my and my siblings when my parents split up. He might as well be dead for all the 'father' he has been to me. I know some people might think there is still time to patch things up with him but we've all tried over the years and he just doesn't want to know.
The OP touched me because it has echoes of what I would have wanted my father to be but for me that will always be a hope unfulfilled. My stepfather has been more of a dad to me than the biological contributor to my gene pool and my children know him as Grandad.
Thanks for sharing this Bussy. It was very moving. |

Yes it was.. I think what I was saying in my post was my parents were and are my rock.. Their love got me through times where I just wanted to die.. They got me through so much.. However me and my dad are so close the thought that one day he is not going around scares me.. |

You have proved you are strong and yes it does floir you losing a parent, I lost my dad 7 years ago and somedays it hits me as if it were yesterday, but I know he is just a thought away snd wil always be by my side, guiding and loving me. Damn crying again now xx |

Its is more then a sex site and if i never meet everyone i chat to some i will never forget here as some specile people . I lost my Dad last week funeral tomorrow ..I can say hand on my heart the best man i have loved and known in my life .. I was so lucky to have a loving Dad who helped me with everything in life and just let me be me .I will miss him so much. I sall print this show my family tomorrow. xxx |
