You can only be one? Which are you? Tell us 
I literally cannot keep on top of iMessages, whatsapps, Twitter DMs, Instagram DMs, dating app messages and messages on here and end up ignoring bare people unintentionally. Fucks up my anxiety lmao |

I reply within 0.4 seconds and if anyone takes longer than 10 mins to reply to me I start thinking they are angry or annoyed or just generally hate me. If they leave me on read I need at least 3 big glasses of wine to calm down. |

I’m a mess like you , I showed someone my WhatsApp and she horrified the amount of unread messages going back months, I often get deleted messages and then their photos just disappear when they give up but I refuse to be a sl*ve to messaging ,if it’s important my friends can.always call. |

I’m a rule breaker, OP, I know you said you can be only one but I’m a mix of the two .. I try to keep up and be prompt but sometimes I want to give a proper reply to someone rather than a rush job so defer from replying immediately .. then it might spill over into the next day or so ..
they probably think I’m semi ghosting them but I’m not. And I hope they’re reading this!!  |

I'm pretty bad to be honest, I don't even get that many messages! Sometimes a text from a friend or my brother will sit unread for a week or two before I get around to responding 
But then again, I also get anxious if someone leaves a message of mine for too long Can't win

Compared to some of the people above I’m pretty good. I’ll rarely reply immediately but generally do within a day or two unless it’s someone I’m really not interested in. I like regular(ish) contact with friends and family but not too regular.
I can’t do with needy people though - those who message many times a day with superfluous crap - it does my head in and eventually I ignore them for their sake and mine. If they need that level of attention/commitment then they’re not for me and I’m not for them.
Only my kids and close friends/family get my attention 24/7 if they need it. |

I'm terrible. I don't get much time to look at my phone so will have a quick glance at messages when I get a spare minute and think "I'll reply to that later".
But then I forget... |

I wouldn't say I'm a mess but I'm not great with everyone, unless someone catches me in the right mood, when I've got some free time and I want to talk to them. Or they give me serious fanny flutters and warm fuzzies.
Otherwise, I'll wait until my headspace is more with it. Engaged. It's not really fair for them to get my abrupt, short replies, dripping in lacklustre waffle. |

I am excellent with work email: on it like a bonnet. Terrible at any life admin. Socially, mixed bag: I'm very good at keeping on top of messages and read them all (no unread WhatsApps here, thank you), but can be slow to reply if I'm not engaged and can just let group chats carry on around me! On here, I like to think I'm at the better end of my social mixed bag... |

I am fucking terrible.
I'm sorry to all the lovely forum people who have messaged me over the last year or so, I just can't do it. I suck massively at anything more than a very brief message.
I only really chat and respond to people I'm super close with. I just don't have the mental energy to hold conversation with people the last few years. |

A bit of a mess, depending on what's going on. Fab tends to be the worst, where I often feel in no fit state to look at the inbox. I appreciate my friends and want to respond quickly, here and elsewhere. Unfortunately, the inbox here is often an assault to the senses and sanity. |
