Essex Mum Driving Ban
Jump to: Newest in thread
"The Essex mum who gently used her car bumper to nudge the protesters out of her way has been banned from driving. Should she be banned or is she an Essex National Treasure.." imagine if her foot slipped on the clutch or in auto and touched the accelerator by accident and the car lurched forward and the person fell and hit head on the floor despite what you think of protesting it doesn’t give anyone the rite to use it as a weapon so good she got a ban |

"I don’t get what she was angry about. If someone sat in front of my car in the morning it would be the perfect excuse for a day off work "
This poor woman was trying to drop her children at school.. these climate types were depriving the children of their education.... They are horrid people |

Do people have the right to block a public highway . No.
Tom would bring back the stocks on the village green and let the locals throw rotten tomatoes at these insulation people |

She should have gotten out of her car and dragged the silly woman an out of the way by the feet.
Have to agree Tom, it didn’t go down so well for the protestors on the tube train roof. The had some swift retribution from irate passengers. |

So the law should be changed to allowed people to ram anyone they don't agree with?
Vote Tom for PM so we can all run over people with impunity. |

"Don't sit or lay on the road I say, did these people learn nothing about road safety
There's small print in the green cross code saying its fine if your saving the world"
It's ironic that as they hold up traffic there is more pollution being caused by people that don't switch engine off.
Personally I'd want to drive as close as possible and then sit on the horn, I'll give those bastards a headache |

I think it should be allowed if they just stand or sit on it to hold up traffic. No faster than 20mph though because we wouldn't want to damage our cars |

There's a place for protesting and it's definitely not in the road |

"Dangerous at 1 mph.. really?
Have you ever had a car run over your foot while reversing at low speed, Tom?
How do you run over your foot while reversing at all? " Brian Harvey did it so it’s possible |

Devils advocate. If they protest out of the way, no one pays attention. |

Nobody is paying them attention apart from them winding people up, you don't get people on your side by pissing them off |

We get the idea of being able to protest, but it needs to be applied equally across all scenarios and right now it isn't. People at the very top of police forces must be telling the police to allow the protestors to cause disruption for some reason.
Blocking the public highway should result in the police moving them to the pavement. The argument for that is that while the protestors have a right to protest, moving them a few feet to the pavement will allow them to protest and people to use the highway. Yet they don't in these particular protests.
Infact, that very same argument was used at protests near at a landfill near us. Folk were blocking the entrance to Walley's Quarry but the police forced them to protest on the other side of the road as they were infringing on the business's right to function due to blocking lorries from entering.

I find it odd that public discourse is complaining about fuel bills and not being able to afford to stay warm in winter, whilst at the same time being hateful towards people who are trying to get the government to insulate homes to reduce the amount of fuel needed |

Making the news by showing how great they are at costing the general public and businesses money by holding everyone up that needs to get through where they sit.
I vote we all get paint guns and shoot them in the crotch |
