"Nope, wouldn’t dream of doing it in public or in front of another person.
Just a big no from me.
Classy xxxx"
Not classy, it’s just very basic manners. Maybe I’m old fashioned or just not cool but I wouldn’t dream of it. |

"It's not healthy to hold it in. "
Then leave the room.
It’s not actually unhealthy to hold them in when you need to (around company for example). Holding them in all the time, yeah, you may get some discomfort but I’ve never farted in front of another person and I’ve suffered no consequences.

This might just be me, but when I'm about to play in a club I have the need to fart. So far I have luckily kept them in.
I have however had a couple of women who have farted during play, both times could have stripped wallpaper. |

It was in the news as it was a very extreme case.
There is no need to fart in front of others. I never have and have never had an issue. I’ve never had a partner who has either and none of them are dead (as far as I know). If you need to fart, go to the loo or leave the room. Easy |

I try not to obviously, but it happens. I genuinely doubt a surgeon or a nurse is going to walK out of theater to fart. Or a bus driver is going to pull over so they can, imagine rush hour in inner cities then!!

Having worked in theatres for a long time, you think theatre staff stand there farting? Although I’ve only worked in day theatres where a typical case only lasted around 40 minutes, I have never been aware of anyone farting and staff often leave to use the bathroom or get equipment from elsewhere |

I've worked in hospitals in my past yes, and it has happened because someone hasn't been able to leave. And my Dad was a driver and most definitely did fart not like you can pull over on the M4 for a fart. I agree it should be avoided but realistic enough to know on occasion it might happen.
Or my grandad had a colostomy bag after having colon cancer, and he had no control of some of the noises etc. To someone who didn't know they'd think he was farting, I just don't personally like thinking that it's an automatic rudeness or lack of manners, that's all. |

Clearly I’m not referring to those with medical conditions.
You’re right, there was one lady at work who would stink the room out in front of everyone else. She had no medical condition, she could leave the room, it was rudeness. Everyone referred to her as a dirty, stinky bitch frequently
You don’t die if you hold in a fart. Luckily, the people I associate with seem to be able to hold theirs in just fine, as have my sexual partners. Thank god |

Omg if someone farted during sex I’d be gone. Such a turn off. I’d dry up like a crisp packet. Luckily I’ve never experienced that.
My last long term partner wouldn’t dream of farting in front of anyone, he would have found that such bad manners. Thankfully! |

When I was younger holding it in was no problem, but a warning to all the younger prim and proper folk on this thread, the time comes when you can play a nice tune down there to order. Nowadays
I only have to stand up and the 1812 ovature pops out |

Loud and proud, if at all possible.
Some exceptions, like being at church ceremonies. Even then, I let a massive loud fart in a church once, an all time great.

It's not funny when you're the one walking into a cloud of gut wrenching stench in Asda, after your juvenile husband releases and runs.

Your lady at work who stank the room probably has IBS as smelly farts are one of the embarrassing symptoms. I have IBS and god help anyone near me the day after I’ve eaten steak as I could clear an auditorium in one go… unfortunately it’s not just once as more one day of stinky farts. Thank god I live alone.

Cheers!
My father in law is a po-faced old prock who doesn’t swear and disapproves of farting, drinking and all other forms of fun. I came in from the pub one night a bit giddy, did the old “pull my finger” gag and he fell for it . He was horrified, which just made it funnier |

One guy I used to work with almost always let rip between the warehouse and the shop floor. Between two set of big flappy plastic doors. So when you dragged a cage out you got slammed with this stench. It was so bad it would make you retch, it would never go anywhere either, it would just sit there and wait for people to breathe it in. |
