If you can't decide, don't. Being a parent takes up every second of your life for the first few months and a good proportion of it thereafter. They're expensive, you'll experience more worry than you ever thought possible and they will drive you to distraction. You can't change your mind once you've got them.
I would do it all again because it's genuinely worth it but I had no doubt that I wanted them. |

Skipping around the subject. I am not overly bothered (at the moment). Partner is verging on not wanting them.
Don’t want to regret it.
I feel like I am such a caring soul and I have so much to give a little soul x |

We was the same then decided to have one we had a daughter she was planned and turns 18 this year. Having kids is a huge change to your lifestyle and in our relationship made us complete. Only you can decide and if you think there’s something missing in your life then I would say go for it |

Having kids shouldn't be a decision to make, if there's doubt in your mind it's not for you. I have known right from I can remember that I don't want them, I've never had that maternal instinct or desire to have them. This is why I should never be a mother. Only bring kids into the world if they are wanted and will be loved. |

"Kids or no kids?
Trying to decide whether we should? "
Any nieces, nephews or friend's offspring you can borrow?
I love spending time with my families little ones but would never want to start from scratch again!
You would lose your freedom.
Hard to plan at all, but
You could have planned an amazing meet, but your kid is sick and you'll have to cancel last minute.
Depends what your priorities and financial situation are.
Hoping this was just a flippant post.. never listen to internet people |

Listen to your instincts. If you want kids - go for kids. Yeah, they will change your life and they will take your freedom for a while. But they are the greatest joy. Your life will change for better I am sure |

I think it's something you have to both be 110% sure on. You can't have any doubts because that child is your responsibility and you have to give them your everything.
I will start by saying my daughter is my world. But I do not know what sleep or freedom is anymore. My whole life revolves around her, I am constantly thinking of how to plan my day around what suits her needs. I wouldn't ever change her, but parenthood isn't always rainbows and sunshine. It's very expensive too, childcare wasn't worth me going back to work. If you don't have any family or friends for support, it can be overwhelming at times.
But if you are 100% sure and willing to sacrifice a big part of yourself and the way you live your life then parenthood is the most rewarding and beautiful thing to ever exist. I never knew I could love someone like I love my little one. She's definitely made my life better.

I think you both need be 100% sure it’s for you - in my case I have never had the desire to have children, whilst I love being an auntie I like the freedom I have by not having the responsibility for a child 24/7.
There is a lot to take into consideration before bringing a life into the world - and to be honest with the state it’s in I wouldn’t, but each to there own - whatever you decide I hope you make the right choices for you and not for the pressures of being asked when you will have kids or thinking you should have them as it seems the done thing

Kids take all your time, energy and money. You can live a great and fulfilling life with out them and most of all keep the freedom you lose when you have kids. And also to some extent they are for life, not just the first 17 years.
Granted we all love our kids and once you have them you wouldn't be without them. But most of us would also be happy and had far more freedom and opportunities if they didn't have them. So you seriously need to ask your self do you really want to make that sacrifice? |
