A lot of what people read in the media about Dubai isn’t reflective of what it is actually like out there. I’d be cautious but the media is controlled by the royal family who have to keep up a certain image to the rest of the world. |

Be careful. In places like Dubai Westerns can easily fall into a trap. They go, see and experience everything being very easy going and relaxed in spite of the laws among Westerners. They say oh, we Westerners can do what we like and a blind eye is turned because it's good for business. To some extent this it ture. However the laws are still the laws. All it takes is you to run foul of the wrong person or a local official fancies a crack down or you make a complaint and all your illegal activities will be used against you.
My advise behave and if that's not possible don't go. |

Exactly.
It’s the most liberal of all Islamic countries. You just keep it behind closed doors and don’t fall around d*unk on the streets , get straight into a taxi when you come out a club etc
