As I'm not a football fan I don't feel qualified to comment on there.
However, the hockey season had just finished in the UK so anyone got any thoughts, comments etc?
Thought my local team did alright except they bottled it at final hurdle in every available competition. |

Glasgow Clan fan here. Came within touching distance of the play offs but wasn't to be.
Next season will be the first uninterrupted (touch wood) season for 2 years so hoping for better then. |

"Whitley… lived in the north east when I got into it
Sad to say never been there. Heard it's nice (but damn cold)"
Nice…. As in atmospheric, old and steeped in history yes…
Nice as in clean and modern. No |

To be fair I spent a portion of my early 20's living in Edinburgh. Murrayfield.... 'nuff said |

Yeah it's always a good atmosphere in there. I'm hoping to go to more games next season. Paisley Pirates use the Braehead Arena too but I've never gone to one of their games. |

"Can we just get a round of applause for Neil Liddiard and his services amd dedication to UK hockey.
Gotta admit I shed a tear or 2 at his retirement and the outpouring of love sent his way.
"
If only he hadn’t played for billingham |

"I was lucky enough to see a few Red Wings games at the Joe Louis when my dad lived in Detroit, amazing atmosphere. "
Only seen 2 NHL games. That was LA Vs. Anaheim in '07 at the o² arena.
However I've travelled to Germany a few times and watched DEL and DEL2 games in the past |

I wish those days would come back.
That rivalry has died on its arse since we had that season we played them about 10 times and the merry go round of 1 year wonders |

"Giants fan here must say we had a not so bad season "
Giants played well all season. Deserved to beat Steelers for the league. I was lucky enough to at your playoff QF game in Belfast. Was a cracking game. |

"Looking to maybe go next year. Believe Alexandra Palace homes the Lobdon side."
One of...there isn't a "London" team any more (mostly because London is too big for one).
It's all about the boroughs. Haringay teams play out of there. Lee Valley used to have teams and Streatham does as well |

Leads Knights, great first year. Autumn cup finalists and some cracking league games. Team didn't make the playoffs, that didn't matter had a wonderful pofw - we fans made our presence felt. Great fun being a Steeldogs, Solway Sharks and Lightening supporter for the weekend |

"Raiders play out of Romford, first class rink, I was there a month or so ago"
Ever been to Gillingham? Went there once and well.....that place made the old ice (now roller) rink in Sheffield look like a palace |

I've not been to the new rink (sapphire) but used to play out of the old one at Rom Valley Way before they knocked it down. |

"I’m surprised at the number of fabbers who are hockey fans
It’s a shame it’s the off season now!"
GB's world championship games gonna be on the sports of free-ness next week on the tellybox.
Plus Para ice hockey season just started for over the summer. Games are free to attend. |
