... far away from the cold night air, with one enormous chair, oh, wouldn't it be loverly?
Home sweet home after a quick walk in cold gusty wind and rain with the dog!
I feel sorry for those out and about trick or treating!
Off to make myself a drink: a Communard - red wine with Creme de Cassis to warm me up.
What's everyone drinking tonight in this cold, wet and windy night?

"ooo that sounds lovely pearl,i have a bottle of cassis and didnt know what to do with it"
.
I had something similar with France, red wine with Creme de Mure (blackberry) as in a Berrichon, and thought I should be able to make one with Creme de Cassis instead, and found there is actually a name for this called the Communard.
Enjoying it with a bag of pork scratchings, loverly!

Indeed.
Or Kir Blanc which is made with white wine.
I prefer the red wine version myself though, as I normally drink and have red wine in the house.
The white wine in the house were presents, and they usually end up in a cooking pot. |

Yes its lovely, but at £6 a go in new cocktail bar near me, I'll go all Blue Peter and make my own!
But tonight, its cranberry and echinacea tea - booze free week 'til Saturday |

Indeed.
And it's a handy way to shift any cheap nasty cava or other sparkling wine (though not the good stuff!) that you acquire after parties |
