Taking girl cat to the vet and finding she needed her anal glands to be emptied.
Probably less pleasant for the cat than for me, to be fair, but I do hope it's not the highlight of my day!

One of my dogs needed that doing.
I found out today that the warranty I purchased with my car is pretty much useless as no garage will work with the company that underwriters the policy (because they refuse to pay and argue about labour charges). I then asked for a quote to change the thermostat as I'd pay out of my own pocket, the guy looked at me and quoted me £200!!! Not even an Alfa Romeo main dealer charges that, I've ordered one and will be doing it myself on Saturday for £40!!!!!!!!! |

I've still to try and get drops in my girl cats eye - my mate was round this morning and she did the drops while I held Smudge, but tonight I'm on me own so my highlight could be trip to A&E once my normally placid pusscat attempts to rip my face off when I'm trying to help her  |

Been a great day actually, seeing my baby girl get all excited about Halloween and looking gorgeous in her costume. Had a very long phone call with some random guy and time just flew past.

Wrap her in a towel, shove her between your knees and get it over with as quickly as possible! If you catch her when she's sleeping you might get it done while she's still bleary.

I’ve just finished sorting through a relatives personal belongings, finding suitable photos and little mementos for other members of the family. Rather than feeling sad, it has actually been quite a warming experience. I have read about the medals and service history, found rationing stamps and all kinds of real hold in your hand history. All the photos are of happy smiley times with family and friends, including motorbike trips across Europe in their younger days with their best friend. No it’s not been sad. I found myself smiling and even laughing as I shared some of their fondest memories in black and white on 4 x 6. |

My fanny abscess popped today in the shower...man it was disgusting but out popped a piece of rank putrid hospital gauze that must've been there for over a year and explains the constant infections I've been getting since that original op!
Told ya it was gross!
I'm looking forward to once again having sweet smelling lady bits |

Yes it was I had a marsupialisation done 2 years ago when it turned into an abscess, unfortunately I've been getting infections ever since, I think the 'packing' I saw tonight has been the reason why, that should've come out a few days after the op but I guess it got stuck and the wound healed over it 
Anyhoo, 3hours since the shower event and there is NO SMELL! I've been honking for weeks! Seems I finally got rid of he culprit WooHoo!!! |

They have a tendancy to come back at least once more, if it does, doxycycline is the best antibiotic to go for, or you can also have salt water baths (2 inches of warm water in a bath with plenty of sea salt added, for 10 mins). |

It's ready for publication. I would have written the paper if I had more than my experience to go on. That's why I need an ABI specialist and an Endo specialist. I need to explore what work there has been in the field, so to speak. |
