Hate maybe too strong a word, but leading on from another thread, are there any shops that you will not put a foot over their threshold?
Build a Bear- £6 million for a toy you make yourself? Lazy bastards, for that price I want a finished one.
Sainsburys- I worked for them and break out in hives when I see a Sainsburys sign

Poundland, Halfords, H&M, Shoeland, or something like that, Deichmann shoes, Aldi, Lidl, I'm not keen on Primark but I do buy my fleecy nighties from there, so I do just head straight for the sleepwear section |

Ikea.
People pottering round with trolleys, getting in my way. Oohing over the same innovative design half the country has.
I want to just go in, get what I need and get the heck out of there. |

The women's clothes shop, that even just walking past them makes the sales assistants look at you like something they've trodden in, if you are anything above a size 6.
We have a couple of little independent ones |

"Thorntons,I've never worked out why as I love chocolate!"
Because they took a briliant brand, and half decent chocolate....and cheapened the brand until you see it everywhere, including petrol stations and now even in Matalan!
That's what you get when you put city types in charge of a struggling business.....cheapness and brand diluting. |

I could name far too many but the ones that spring to mind are:
Lidl
Aldi
Asda - although I did last Friday and will do so never again.
Any shop selling anything for a £1
Primark
Brantano
Shoe - whatever...wise...
Dunelm
New Look
H&M
Claire's Accessories
Sports Direct
That is it for a start

J.D Sports - Full of chavs and "Youts".
Bon Marche - I don't know why, it just gives me a headache.
Primark - Constantly being trapped by buggies and people who feel the need to take up the whole isle while pretty much taking stock off the rails just to throw on the floor.
There are quite a few, but probably for very silly reasons.
Oh and I wont step foot in Oxford Circus AT ALL because I can't stand crowds.

As for food places;
Nando's - It reminds me of a school cafeteria plus I've been ill EVERY TIME I've been dragged there (including 3 bouts of food-poisoning).
Pizza Hut - Never EVER had good service there! Food is usually cold and over-priced and even when it's quiet you seem to spend ages waiting for your bloody waiter/waitress.
Subway - Doesn't appeal to me, even the smell walking past makes me gag.

With you on SubWay, looks revolting. I cannot stand Wagamamas because of the school canteen feel! |

I am not keen on Sainsburys as I find the staff rather miserable.
I don't like to shop in M&S Food as I find them rather pretentious and too pricey for what they are.
I swear I would never set foot in a House of Fraser again after a rather unpleasant experience with the staff in the Oxford Street branch.

I just thought and it made me chuckle.. Suppose there is a fab forum member who works for one of the quoted shops.... in theory he/she might wish to feed back to their store that customer perception of their brand is not favourable. How on earth would you tell you boss that you got this evidence from THIS site... just a thought that amused me... |

Why the hate towards pound shops?! You get some handy stuff in there, for a pound! And I always come with some random stuff I never went in for, like an old fashioned smoking pipe.
And selfridges has a primark concession! I get my work shirts from primani, and colorful socks.
And tk maxx has some bargains, don't mind having a little browse to save 15quid on a T-shirt.
Will agree on smelly lush tho. |

Tk tw*t max ts awful. Hate rooting for things, may as well shop in my wardrobe.
There was a shop in Liverpool many years ago, which was like a warehouse full of ladies clothes, and a woman on the microphone shouting about it onto the street (Solitare if anyone remembers!)
Dont like Primarni as I want to tidy up as I go along |

"B&Q - not sure why Jack thinks I like walking around there looking at garden tools or whatever. I starting yawning as soon as I enter !"
Whenever he drags you in there make loud comments as you walk round along the lines of "we need to look at power saws because the dildo is stuck on the one we have", "remember we need to buy more rope because the last lot wasn't strong enough when I tied you to the bed", "do they have industrial stain remove here? I just can't get all the blood out of the carpet", "Ooh, garden canes, that reminds me, we've been invited to a fetish party".
Let us know how long it takes before he decides he doesn't need you to go with him. |

I don't like mens shops, I don't mean clothing shops, I spend my life in Topman with my youngest son, but car accessory shops and hardware stores selling tools and drills etc. They are just so boring |

LUSH - why do they seem to almost flood the air outside of their premises with their products to the point it induces eyes to water or sneezing? It's especially bad in shopping centres.
ASDA - as someone with restricted sight, has this company actually realised the difficulties some people have reading their signs (white on green) - a visual nightmare!
IKEA: Quick to find your purchases, then you spend much more time getting through the checkouts than you did driving the 30+ miles there and back!
ALL SHOE SHOPS: I suppose the style for Men's shoes now seems to be longer, pointed/tapered shoes! But people's feet are generally rounded at the front, so why waste paying for shoes with so much wasted space at the front of them?
PC WORLD/CURRYS/COMET (plus others): why do their staff all have to go into all the technological jargon, as if you possess a degree in PC Speak and terminology! Speak ENGLISH for feck's sake!!
And I just love telling them I DON'T want to buy an extended warranty; it really pisses them off, as bang goes their commission on a totally useless add-on! If they persist, I always comment, "well, why are you selling goods that are likely to fail, if you don't have any faith in them such that you need to sell a warranty?" |

Currys - Brought a ipod nano as a present and asked them for the 16g version and not the smaller 8g one. I must have asked them about 5 times to make sure they sold me the right one and still managed to sell me the wrong one. So had to drive 10 miles to demand a refund.
Sports direct - 3 times ive brought stuff in one of their stores and they have left the security tag on. And no i dont want one of your sports direct bags for 50p. |

I wouldnt a 'shop' as such..but I hate going to scrap car places..after standing there being ignored for ages you get a 'yeh' off of some fearsome looking skinhead with tatts all over his neck and rotton teeth..
I always end up thinking 'do you want to serve me or hit me???'
That said, most of em are pretty decent blokes once you get to know them..
Builders merchants aint much better either..you stand there like an idiot for 15 minutes being ignored while all the local builders walk straight in and disappear round the back for a free paper cup of pissy tea and some service! |

Love kfc but hate the service and the fact that they never have krushems or the machine isnt working (the maltesers krushems are lush) but as with any fast food place it seems you need the intelligence of a brick to work there also wont set foot in sports direct or brighthouse hate them with a passion, not keen on next either but thats probs because my wife spends 80% of her life in there. |
