So I've never been a particularly patient person, but I've noticed lately it's been getting a lot worse...
Like today for example, I was at a family lunch. Just wrangling everyone to the table, getting the kids to sit down, then the adults not knowing where they wanted to sit etc was stressing me out. I wasn't even particularly hungry or anxious to eat, I just wanted everyone to SIT DOWN and get on with it. Then for dessert people were debating for aaages who should cut the cake, so in the end I just grabbed the bloody slicer and plated everyone up myself
It's other little things as well, like watching YouTube on 2x speed, waiting for people to get to the end of their stories, getting annoyed when I have to repeat myself, shouting at the radio when the DJs won't just shut the hell up and play music already like they're supposed to do. Even just getting to the end of this post is getting on my wick
Anyway I'm fully aware it's not good or healthy to get this stressed out when things don't happen quickly, and I would love to be a more patient wholesome being who is just always at peace... Any tips from people who are good at this? Meditation? Medication? |

I’m wondering if you’ve tried getting to the bottom of what the feelings are all about? Maybe try and sit with the discomfort and ask yourself some questions about where it’s coming from and why it feels so uncomfortable for you. I find the only way to really solve these things is to work out the root cause x |

I certainly am not always at peace however i would definately recommend meditation, takes a minute to get into it but stick with it and it should help greatly.id recommend guided meditation to begin with.
Also breathing techniques help and maybe look into mindfullness. |

I don't have any tips to help you, but I just want to say I can totally relate.
I feel people often talk too slowly for me and I can't wait to get to the end of what they are saying sometimes.
I feel the same frustrations. I hate waiting in queues and waiting for people, and feel I can be feeling quite unpatient sometimes. Everything you mentioned that I can relate to. |

Sounds a bit like Hurry Sickness, a form of anxiety which causes you to always feel like you're in a rush, almost like time is running out?
Might be worth looking into that and take it from there if it sounds like what you're going through
I've always found meditation helpful. Just 5-10 minutes a day, with my eyes closed, focussing on my breathing and nothinf else. Really helps bring me back into the moment. |

Honestly the thought of just sitting and breathing for 20 minutes is giving me heart palpitations |

(Hormones that is)"

You might benefit from some neuro linguistic programming (NLP) and NLP counselling. Looking up a chap called David Snyda on you tube might be helpful. He does some introductory workshops there on helping yourself with these kinds of things.
It is very important to not take yourself seriously when absorbing this kind of information though - it helps a lot.
Dry brushing too. When you feel stressed, take a moment to rub your face with your hands and down your torso, arms and legs as though scrubbing off the negative vibes that are sticking to you. People will stare so smile and enjoy it.
Another is to stand arms akimbo (fists on hips with shoulders back and chin up and chest out) for a couple of minutes. Else with your arms in the air like a victory dance for a couple of minutes. People will look and stare but smile through it.
If you want to know why these work, PM us and will tell you. |

These all sound like they will get me far more attention than I'd be comfortable with |

"Go outside for a walk...switch phone onto silent or off. Read a book and/or listen to some classical music."
Appreciate the advice but I can't just leave my car/family dinner etc and go for a walk haha |

"They made wonderful progress with the 'Stepford Wife' conditioning.
Maybe you need a new career? Axe Murderer! "
I'd actually love to be a robot and just be pre-programmed to make every appropriate decision and feel every appropriate emotion |
