Gateshead

Tonight is Haloween where kids go knocking on doors after sweets basicaly. Reminds me of when I was a kid back in the 70's. There was an old man who lived a few doors from us. His garden was our playground, there was always an ample supply of sweets, pop etc. There was never any hint of anything untoward,in fact the local housewives used to take it in turns to provide him with a good home cooked meal. Just a lonely, kindly old man who loved to see kids laughing and having fun....Wonder how he'd be viewed now?

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

He probably wouldn't be viewed at all well.

It is not possible to have generous and innocent intent any more.

It won't be long before I go from everyone's auntie to the crazy cat lady.

'It is not possible to have a generous and innocent intent any more'.

Such a sad but true statement
