Should I choose a walk in the fresh air of the Yorkshire Dales or sand and rub oil into my kitchen work top? What are your choices of pleasure today?

One sounds pleasant, the other sounds like work.

I think I’d take the walk option.

Rub oil into it.

Everything looks better when oiled up.

I'd say do both, do your kitchen first then go for a walk.

Very true and apparently regular oiling helps to maintain the woods condition

Rule of thumb , oil the worktops when the clocks change , then you’ll never forget

Wow great advice. Only problem is I’ve booked in the mowing of the lawn for clock changing and only doing it once a year it’s like a forest ??

How big is the kitchen if it's going to take all day to rub oil into the worktop?

I'd rather rub baby oil on a tasty lady's body

Probably go for a walk if the worktop is granite.

Bank Holiday walk. Apologies, I was in abbreviation mode. Either a walk or bit of DIY in the kitchen?

Well that was my first mistake…it’s real wood. Looks lovely when freshly oiled but been using kitchen spray on it recently so it’s taken then top coat off

It’ll take a few hours. Need to prep and sand the top coat off then gently does it.

Yorkshire dales.

I rubbed danish oil into mine and it just dried out and looks the same as before, waste of time

I'm contemplating a walk OP. It's good to get out in nature.

Surprisingly my deeds prevent me keeping goats or cattle in my garden. Good idea though.

Few things match walking up the side of a hill and laying there watching the world go by. The outdoors open up a whole new world of adventure

Go for a walk, save the oily job for a rainy day.
