I was arrested for an assault and then cleared after an identity parade.
I had the flu that weekend and literally couldn’t get out of bed so it was impossible that I did it anyway. Plus the assailant was described as white and 6’ tall. One look at our profile will tell you that it clearly wasn’t me. |

Second time was a result of a flag being raised from one of the partners devices… it got much worse from there… nothing to do with plant machinery though |

About 30 years ago I was walking home about midnight and as I went up one local street I thought it was weird that there were several people out the front of the houses. As I walked past a group of people one of them peered at me intently for a second then went back to whatever he was discussing.
I thought nothing of it until the next day at about 7:30 in the evening, I still lived with my folks at the time and my mum came to my room with a face like thunder and simply said” the police are at the door. They’ve just asked if someone that fits your description lives here.”
Perplexed I went down and spoke to the 2 officers at the door. They asked me if I was in the vicinity of the street I’d walked down the previous night at about the time I’d walked down it.
“Yes,” I replied “it was weird as there were several people hanging out outside some of the houses. Did something happen?”
Apparently one of the residents of that street had caught someone in his back garden pinching several pairs of his wife’s knickers from the washing line and gave chase across several of the other gardens. The panty raider had given him the slip so the guy had gone to several other houses to his neighbours about him.
The road I’d walked down was near my house so I regularly walked down it to my mate’s houses and to work and so on. That evening on my way home from work the guy who’d chased the thief saw me walk past, recognised my face, followed me home and called the police.
I had to go around to this guy’s house with the police and remind him I looked so familiar as I’d walked past him in the street after the panty raid had happened.
He was mortified and very apologetic but I said “Don’t worry” as I had a great pub story. |

"...one of the partners..." - seriously how many concurrent partners did you have?? They can't have all been dodgy? |

Car plates get cloned a fair bit, been hit 5 times on two cars in 3 years, bus lane fines speeding fines, none of them stuck as I could prove I was elsewhere.
I got pulled in as a suspect on a murder 6 years ago as I very loosely matched an efit picture but height age and build were all a match. Quickly ruled out on that but not a very pleasant experience. |

"When I got a parking ticket in Islington - because the software mistook a Y for a V on the registration plate! Girlfriend at the time was like "Why were you in London?""
Frisky had that with an allegation of dangerous driving, they had the make and model but got the reg number wrong, so wrote to her even though the make and model were different, a couple of minutes on the dvla website and she found the right number for the car they were looking for... |
