Should I paint my bedroom white, thus saving myself the bother of fannying about with masking tape?
Or should I paint my bedroom using F&B's setting plaster, thus saving myself the bother of sending the tin back?
I'm struggling to make a decision. Help me out. |

"I don't know what setting plaster is so white coz I understand white."
It's a paint from Farrow & Ball. It's the same colour as setting plaster! Very soft peachy pink. |

Like a terracotta pot but duller?
Nah. I had bare plaster for years due to lack of funding to complete the decorating so to me that colour just looks unfinished and "poor person".
That's purely based on my own negative experience with it. |

My bedrooms all white , walls ceilings doors and frames and skirtings.
Nice white bedding.
ive broken it up with a slate grey wooden floor, gloss black plug sockets, door handle and ceiling light, and some black n white prints on the walls in gloss black frames.
i love it. |

I at first thought that the op was going to use her fb's setting plaster. I imagined he or she was a painter and decorator and this was some sort of professional thing. Then I realised it was probably paint and now I feel really daft |

I'm not saying that this is what the OP is doing, but (given the paint brand, it's not the cheapest) it leaves me thinking about the fact that poverty chic absolutely is a thing. |

It does sound nice.
It's probably my lighting (all north facing), but my place is white at the moment and it just looks dingy.
I'm redecorating soon and... yeah am in team anything but white |

I didn't pick it because of the brand. I really like the colour! I got a lot of samples of similar colours and that's the one I like best. |

I'm North facing too. I just used a white primer so I could paint on top but I like how fresh the white looks. |

It's just one of those isn't it. One person will have negative memories/feelings associated with certain things, whereas to someone else it's the absolute opposite.
Had I not had bare plaster for many many years I know I'd feel different.
When I stripped the wallpaper in the spare room I painted it a colour very similar to the one the OP describes and that's how I learned it's left its mark on me coz I walked in once it was dry and I just felt awful even though I knew it was fresh and just painted! I was all "hell no, triggered!" and painted over it straight away. |

Fair. In my space it got old super fast. Despite the light situation, I'm going to go for a mid tone next time. |

I get that! But I was looking at the plaster thinking that I like the colour. Kind of earthy but slightly pink. It's a warm colour too. Very cosy.
I think I've persuaded myself |

Yes. There's a certain shade of blue that seems to be coming back and - I have strong memories |

Full room
Lovely, in my head I’m trying to picture it, I think that colour looks lovely with white bedding and loads of plants and wicker. "
I've got a bamboo headboard! It's gorgeous. |

Where should i send my consultation fee invoice to? "
Wall paper?!?! Feck that right off. I can't be arsed with masking tape so I'm not the kind of person who's going to start wallpapering |

Working, watching YouTube, listening to music.
Lost one of my closest friends a few months back and it knocked me about. Didn't want to people. Thought the funeral would help but it made things worse if I'm honest with ya.
Wouldn't even say I've been soul searching, but I was in a head space where I simply couldn't be arsed.
I wouldn't say I'm outta that funk, not by a long shot but I dunno, I'm at least open to engaging now. All of this, everything just felt like utter nonsense for a while there. |

I realised I could make my own headboard from a huge cardboard carton flattened out between bed and wall and with an colourful sheet I got in India draped over it to conceal its humble origins.
I've installed three of these so far in different locations and won't waste money on a bought headboard ever again. |

I like it. My whole house is like that, white walls, doors , skirtings, oak floors and chrome light fittings and switches, a couple of chrome rails and radiators in the bedrooms , don’t really have much furniture , a few large framed photographs and artwork in each room. I love white - Minimalist and tranquil. I have some lava and salt lamps that add a bit of colour at night |
