After my thread last night and today, for those of you who took part, do you think that the impressions that others have of you are fair? Do you think that they reflect you as a person/people and did some people surprise you with how much they read into your posts?
Was it a positive or negative experience for you?

I got some really lovely comments, but also some comments which have made me think, not negative at all, but just things to ponder.
I always enjoy taking part in these threads, and I think there’s always thinking points on both sides  |

Positive because it was more of a reciprocated thing - I dislike when it's one sided and solely focused on the other. I'm a needy bitch hence why I join in. 
No, being more serious, I enjoyed it. I'm naturally curious, enjoy reading how others view and respond to things. It's perception, nothing more and an interesting one at that.
I did enjoy one particular message, very much so, because it allowed us to discuss a few things, I think we both have a better understanding of each other and I have a lot of respect for him (yep that's you Mr PB ). |

I only got the one message, but the one I got was very good and quite reassuring that my profile is a decent one( which is always a plus)
Now i know it must be my opening messages that are utter tripe...but at least I know half the puzzle now |

I told someone I thought they were nice. They didn’t seem to like that 
It was nice to reach out to people I haven’t or wouldn’t otherwise engage with.
But no one told me anything I didn’t already know. I am fucking awesome  |

I had positive messages.. But interestingly some were from opposite ends of the spectrum, which i guess is because they see me on different threads - upbeat/funny or serious/heavy 
It was a great experience and i interacted with some new (to me) forumites, which is always good! |

I was suprised at the volume of messages to be honest, didn't realise people take notice of me that much. It's amazing how some people can get you spot on and I appreciate everything that was said so thank you  |

I received nothing but can't complain as I didn't send any messages, I don't feel I know enough of those I noticed posting for me to make a judgement, only thing I could consider messaging was that I appreciated postings of some, but that felt a little sycophantic, so didn't bother. |

The replies I got were nice. And all were pretty spot in. Some things I know about myself already but nice to think people think of me in a good way. (Or they are fibbing)

Sent a handful out and had a handful in too, quite interesting to get the perspective of strangers at the end of a keyboard on how you’re perceived from what you say and do online when people can’t see your body language or tone of voice and they’re dependent on words alone!
I found it a positive experience and I’ll do it again - thanks (again!) to everyone who messaged, I really appreciate it!  |

I never do on these (I am pretty invisible though so it would shock me if anyone had an opinion!), but all the messages I sent were received in the spirit they were intended, so it was all good. |
