Is under attack from groups. The ad shows a lone woman running at 2am in a city and some running groups and reclaim the streets people are saying that a lone woman running at 2am on her own in a city is unrealistic and unsafe.
What's going on here guys? |

My ex wife was a runner and any man who’s ever dated or married a woman, who regularly goes out for a run, will probably agree the stories that happen during a run are disgusting.
My ex one afternoon was running down a street as she was getting close to a pub a guy just stood in her way with his arms outstretched. Big stupid grin on his face and trying to stop her passing him. She ended up running on the road to get by, obviously dangerous but necessary to try and get away.
In this case nobody would blame her if that situation became worse. Daylight and other people around who hopefully would help if she was attacked. My Ex also thinks he just did it as some kind of joke maybe in front of his mates.
But at 2am there’d be plenty laying partial blame on any woman running at that time. That’s why it’s seen as ridiculous and nowhere close to reality, even the guy on the bike would be seen as dangerous not some happy chap riding by as the advert portrays.
That wasn’t a one off either, my ex wife had loads of other stories to tell me when she came back from some of her other runs. Not every time but enough to make her run with headphones to stop some heckling she’d get.
It looks like an advert made by men with no idea of the reality women go through or the dangers they face. That’s why it’s getting some backlash. |

Haven't seen the advert but when first heard about it on the news on the radio I agreed that it was completely unrealistic. You'd think people working for these companies have the common sense to realise that and understand why and while it shouldn't be a problem for women to go out running at time, it does show that they aren't in touch with what some women go through |

"As soon as I saw that advert I immediately said it was unrealistic and dangerous! I don't know any woman who would go out for a run at 2am sadly its too risky - I wish it wasn't "
Totally agree with you, even as a male runner, I wouldn't go urban running by myself at night time.
Female members of my running group all have their own tales of misogynistic behaviour or worse.
I have run by myself in a rural environment, at night, but the risks are considerably less |

Women get harassment when running in broad daylight, a lot of women won't ever wear headphones when they're running because it's unsafe to not be aware of what's going on around you.
When women are assaulted/raped/murdered at 2am people question what they were doing on the streets at that time of night as though she somehow brought it on herself.
No woman is going to choose to go running at 2am with headphones in, Im really surprised that some men find this surprising |

"Just advertise the product. Why make a statement that’s gonna divide so many people
Very dumb decision from them. Just advertise the product with some massive statement " you are all talking about the add its made national radio news and phone ins all of which has got the company and the product the kind of coverage they would have to pay millions for job done

I thought it was a good ad.
I can see why it annoyed some but I enjoyed watching it. We are all different. |

I get the old adage of all publicity is good publicity but if you’re angering the people you’re focusing on, in this case women. Then I don’t see the advertisement will generate the sales you’d hope it would. It’s the sort of thing I’d expect some idiot on ‘The Apprentice’ to come up with.
If I was a rival to Samsung I’d be looking to profit on the backlash. So create a new ad that’ll focus on the reality for women in today’s society. |

People getting upset over something as trivial As an advert? I don’t believe it mind it’s hardly surprising that someone will find fault and whinge but look at most adverts hardly real life are they |

She's not going to tell you her job title so it can be used to ridicule |
