To be fair I've found the majority are real. You can spot fakes pretty quickly especially for those of us who have been in the scene for a very long time well before fab. We had some very interesting ways of meeting up!! Contact mags to clubs and even the old AOL chat rooms. |

Some I expect to be fake have turned out not to be. (Maybe, but the warning signs disappear). Or maybe they are just upping their game.
Working out how to appear more real, like a master forger you visit for a fake ID when you were 17  |

I think it's pretty high.
Of course there are dreamers, fantasists and general scallywags but so there are everywhere. Although the percentage of people who will want to meet me or any individual is far lower than the percentage who want to meet I think that's the thing to remember |

There's a big difference in fakes and those who are totally genuine but use the social side of the site rather than to arrange meets.
There's nothing in the small print that says you actually have to meet anyone and people are free to use the site as they wish.
Fake profiles are not an issue at all if you can see the red flags.
Fake people are a different story. |
