I can't watch coz I live in a little bubble where everything is good... Upsets me far too much knowing people are hurting 
I'm tempted though coz there's a girl from my town on it who is amazing & so inspirational. |

Seriously though, I think I will probably watch as Alice Pyne is a true heroine and only lives half an hour from me so it's always nice to see local inspirational people being recognised  |

I just saw a trailer for ‘The Human Mannequin’ (don’t you just love the compassionate titles channel 4 gives its documentaries)…. but that attitude of the girl they showed in the clip was deserving of the upmost respect.
Pride of Britain will no doubt command the same.

I don't know why but the whole 'celebrity' of the event that I find a little uncomfortable.
I'm not knocking the need for the event or others like it, but the cynic in me does think that it is a good bandwagon for celebs and their agents.
It's about national pride yet it's like watching the BAFTA's or the Oscars.
There to be seen rather than to do any real good for anyone but themselves and their respective careers. |
