As a spin-off of from Kent Man 1971's thread, on the last thing you bought, what are you looking to buy?
What's on your shopping list this week people....
For me I'm looking for some quite odd sized cushions that can be used outdoors, and a parasol, getting the garden ready for the hot summer that I'm doing a sundance in my lingerie for....
So what are you buying this week.... |

I want a small chest of drawers/sideboard for my living room to put my letters and useful items in.
I have a hard time making decisions so it's taking me a while.
I have a wedding reception to buy an outfit for, but I'm waiting to see what size I am just before. |

A printer, and it's an impossible choice, do I want to get scammed up front with an expensive printer that has cheap refill tanks, or later with a cheap printer than has expensive cartridges? |

Just the usual food shopping this week I'm afraid.
Long term, I have a shopping list of coffee stuff I want to buy. A Hario V60, a gooseneck kettle, a good quality hand grinder, some cupping cups. Gonna try and spread that spend out though |

Ooh. Have fun. That's a fun but potentially expensive rabbit hole |

"Hammerite paint for the garage door."
I actually just bought some of this and he used it yesterday, I went for the hammered finish as you can get smooth or hammered. It took two coats but I have to say some of my garden furniture that was looking a little bit aged is now looking fresh.... |

Potentially a sign of a midlife crisis, but I was thinking of an old arcade machine for the cave. But then I saw how much they’ve gone up in price lately and thought no chance. |

It really is! When I got into coffee as a hobby, I cheaped out on everything in case it didn't last and now I want to do it properly, I have to upgrade everything |

Oh gawd, won't be yet but I do need a shed. Lawnmower has been in the kitchen for 9 years and it's time it had an actual home. Problem is I've no flat ground to put one on as far as the patio goes, so I'd need to get that sorted first. I ain't got a spare grand knocking about so it'll probably be in the kitchen for another decade. |

I'm going to give Access to Work a crack, because I need the chair to work. They might fund 5/7ths of it. Or they might tell me to get stuffed. Other than that, it's all on me. I don't qualify for NHS wheelchair vouchers nor mobility related benefit payments. |

Everybody seems to be buying olive oil. I did not even know there was a shortage. I went to get sime amongst other stuff, none on shelf and was told that is sold out as people jave been buying in bulk. They have rationed the amount now but not sure when they will have anything. There was enough of other type of oil like sunflower and the very expensive ones |

I read earlier that chip shops are having trouble getting sunflower oil. |

"A new sight for my airsoft rifle.
"
Bought a new red dot sight for my Ratcatcher this week, had to send it back for a refund as it didn't sit square on the rail. Managed to get a proper one at my local gunshop though, at internet prices. Lesson learned. |

Not this week but at some points: different length metal pipes for a DIY xylophone for work. One that we could put on the patio and our service users could bash (read: play with lol) using different equipment. I think I've found suitable pipes today. |

You cant cook with olive oil it can burn.
The shortage is sunflower oil as its mainly from Ukraine, and rapseed as they cant keep up with demand.
Try a smaller store instead of a big supermarket. |

Yeah apparently you can. With clay. Really. My brothers best friend is Turkish and he had a clay oven in the garden. It produced amazing lamb. |

Apparently its going up in price. Because of the Ukraine war. Ukraine provides 50% of the worlds supply. |

Market Harborough / Kettering |
A house that doesn't come with neighbouring dickheads who make lots of noise, a house where the local dickheads don't use the road outside as a race track with their shit-heap BMWs with drain pipes as exhausts, a house where at 4am I don't get a load of d*unk/high dickheads gobbing off for what feels like hours and a house that isn't near a battle ground where all that you hear from 6pm to 5am is police /ambulance sirens normally needed because of dickheads! In simple terms I'm looking to buy a house with no dickheads included. |
