Shamanism, Raki, Tantra and other Practices

I was wondering if there was any one here who practices Shaminisin or Raki. Although Tantra is my path, I have dabbled in other practices like Raki, but Shaminisin is one I have avoided, even though an old friend once tried to tempt me into it. He's been practicing it for around 15 years. And he holds events(in the 'woods').

It's true that all paths lead to the same mountain tip, but all are so different in their approach. Tantra is pleasure and Shaminisin is pain and suffering. This is why it's difficult for them to recruit people. I mean where's the joy in pain for the sake of 'enlightenment'? But then again you could say the same for BDSM! Some people can feel pleasure via pain. Shocking but true. So I've been told by veterans.

Apparently there are two kinds of Shaminisin.

land of make believe

I used to live in a village on a ley line and as a community we practiced reiki amongst other things.

It was a wonderful place to live.

Apparently Raki does work. Practicers can experience a full body orgasm without physically touching. I was at a workshop and me and my partner tried but we couldn't get it. I have been to another workshop. But I did not attend anymore. I think if I'd stuck with it then I would have experienced it too. But there is only so many hours in a day. So I stuck with Tantra.

There were no full body orgasms going on ,it was more about restoring the bodies natural healing rhythms and promote physical and emotional well being.

I do often wonder if I might find someone to practice the intimacy of sexuality and tantra with.

It links closely with the sex I strive to have anyway so you would think it wouldn't be that difficult haha.

The placebo effect works, reiki does not

Yeah it's definitely the Placebo. You are right there. Raki gives you the tool to access it via the placebo effect. I did ask the practicioner this and she said yes. The human mind is powerful.

Google Tantra schools UK and in your area. They do workshops from start to beginning. It usually last around 2 to 3 years. Shakti Tantra (all ladies teachers) and Jane Day, these are famous practioners in England. You will meet Nd make friends with loads of people. Here you will definitely find someone to learn and practise with.

Wish you all the best

A reiki practitioner agreed that her reiki didn’t work?

Where did you learn Tantra(which school)? I started with Shakti Tantra.

Central

I'm interested in approaches that have substantial gold standard research evidence behind them. This should be possible with the thousands of practitioners who proclaim the reality of their wares that they peddle etc. Anecdotal reports don't cut it for me.

I didn't have a clue about Tantra when I first ventured into it. But I believed and trusted. For me it definitely works and many I have known and met. Some of the things I have seen and experienced. Unfortunately I know there are many who have not 'experienced'. The trick is applying it and you do need to 'rewire' your brain. Tantra(India) and Taoism(China) have been around for over a 1000 years! If it doesn't work, it would have died out long ago. Raki has only been around this century, it came from Japan. I know the medical profession have tested to see if Raki works. Thier conclusion was there are no evidence. Yet modern medical practice still use the techniques of the Placebo effect.
