Do you guys like spicy food? Are you into hot sauces and chili oils?

What’s the spiciest thing you had and can handle?

I LURVVVV me some spicy food, I’m obsessed with hot sauces and chili oils. Like, they are life and do love the burning sensation x

The only regret is when it’s too hot and then it gives tummy aches the next day x but apart from that, I’m not a wuss so. I’m always up for trying spicy things

Love spicy food. Mostly only grew up eating spicy Jamaican foods. Never used to be able to handle anything with scotch bonnet but I put that shit in all my soups and currys now.

I do like hot food but not too hot. Could never take a vindaloo out of a curry house and the thought of reaper or ghost chili's fills me with fear.

Don't want to experience one of them on the way out.

Unless it’s Jamaican food I tend to avoid spicy foods and I don’t know why just do

The only spicy thing I haven’t managed to finish was a wings challenge. I got about 3/4 of them finished but couldn’t continue.

I love spicy food and at one point I put hot sauce on everything.

Absolutely love spicy food, most stuff I cook involves chilli's or chipotle.

Hottest thing I've ever eaten was a Phaal curry (for a bet) although it wasn't very nice. Much prefer Goan curries like vindaloo or Cafreal

I bought some pure capsicum extract to add to food. Mouth could take it but my stomach couldn’t. I also had Dave’s insanity sauce and that was ridiculous but I enjoyed putting a few drops in my food.

If the flavours with it i love it, im not one of these that just wants a 'hot curry'i usually have it 'desi style' yes its hotter but so much flavoursome.

I love spicy food, but not to the point all you can feel is heat and its tasteless. Like my fellow Jamaican brethren, I can eat spicy Jamaican food all day. Particularly, curry goat.

I did something very similar.

I was a fairly nieve teenager when it came to curry's having never had one and one evening on a Cricket tour we finished the night in a curry house. Not knowing what to have or what was what on the menu I was persuaded that a Vindaloo was a mild curry for a beginner...

Safe to say it put me off curry's for life!!

The Attic - Derby.

Being a Mc1r gene holder, we can handle spice better than mere mortals. We had a freind who owned a restrant who's turkish. He made me his "turkish receipe spice, with added heat, then threw in extra spice". He made me a pizza exspecting me to have 2 bites. I finished most of the pizza. It was size of pizza I could'nt manage. My Mr took one bite, tears streaming down his face, rolling round the floor shouting for milk.

No one has out spiced me ever. I've had ghost chillies which I think are highest scoresville. Not a problem for me. Anyone for a bj?

I can't do too spicy so go for more medium that has a kick but doesn't take away from the flavour of the dish. Though you can see the regret in my Dad's eyes when he sees me struggle with some Indian food

Me me me!!!

A few years ago a band member from one of my favourite bands, who also happens to sell his own chilli sauces, sent me a bag of carolina reapers.

I made my own sauce out of it, which was bloomin hot, but had a few spare, so I decided to dry them in the over to make chilli flakes.

Stupidly, I forgot to hold my breathe when I opened the over and got a face and lung full of chilli fumes

My lungs burnt like fuck! Once I realised I wasn't going to actually die, I actually enjoyed it and started wondering if they make chilli vapes (even though I don't vape).

I think I'm a glutton for punishment.

I love the heat, but there needs to be the flavour too.

So many hot foods are made purely to be hot, which is really disappointing as you can have loads of flavour in with it.

Yeah, that's true but even with flavour I don't like the heat too over-powering. A colleague once bought Da Bomb from The Hot Ones and not only was it hot, but it tasted like shite

Love hot food as long as it retains flavour, some of them aim for heat only so you might as well put a hot coal in your mouth
